Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak teamed up to form Silk Sonic

Bruno Mars announced the formation of Silk Sonic with a simple Instagram post of their upcoming album’s cover. “We locked in and made an album. The band’s called Silk Sonic,” the post read. The album is set to feature beloved musician Bootsy Collins in addition to Mars and .Paak.

The duo’s first single, “Leave the Door Open” rose to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving .Paak his first number-one song.
