BTS: What Is the ARMY Soundcheck Sweepstakes and How Can Fans Enter?
Soundcheck tickets for BTS’s Map of the Soul Tour are perhaps the most sought after tour tickets in North America at the moment. While soundcheck tickets sold out quickly, there is now a way some lucky fans can win them. Here’s how BTS fans can enter a sweepstakes to win soundcheck tickets for the group’s Map of the Soul Tour.
Soundcheck tickets sold out first for BTS tour dates
For North American tour dates, BTS tickets went on sale at the beginning of February. Before tickets went on sale for the general public, there were two different presales via Ticketmaster.
The first presale was the BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY Membership Presale and it was only open to fans who purchased the BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY Membership. This presale took place on Feb. 5, and a large number of soundcheck tickets sold out.
The General Verified Fan Presale took place on Feb. 6 on Ticketmaster. This gave fans who did not purchase the membership or who were not selected for the first presale a chance to buy tickets. Tickets went on sale for the general public on Feb. 7, and Forbes reported that tickets sold out at seven of the 15 North American tour stops within three days.
BTS fans can enter the ARMY Soundcheck Sweepstakes
BTS released their new album Map of the Soul: 7 on Feb. 21, and that same day the ARMY Soundcheck Sweepstakes opened. The sweepstakes will take place from Feb. 21 to March 23. It does not affect all 15 North American tour dates, and fans only have the chance to win tickets at 11 of the concert dates. The sweepstakes is for the following concerts:
- San Francisco at Levi’s Stadium on April 25
- Los Angeles at Rose Bowl on May 2
- Los Angeles at Rose Bowl on May 3
- Dallas at Cotton Bowl Stadium on May 9
- Orlando at Camping World Stadium on May 14
- Atlanta at Bobby Dodd Stadium on May 17
- New York at MetLife Stadium on May 23
- New York at MetLife Stadium on May 24
- Washington, D.C. at Fedex Field on May 27
- Toronto, Ontario at Rogers Centre on May 30
- Chicago at Soldier Field on June 5
For each tour date, 50 winners will be announced and receive a VIP ticket for the concert and soundcheck access. The winners will be selected at random and notified around March 24.
How fans can enter the sweepstakes
To enter, fans must be legal residents of the U.S. or Canada and they must be at least 15 years old. There are two different ways BTS fans can enter the ARMY Soundcheck Sweepstakes.
The first method of entry is known as the “purchase entry” and is for fans who purchased a physical copy of Map of the Soul: 7. Each copy came with a 12-digit code, which fans enter using this form. ARMY using this method of entry must also enter their name, email, age, city, zip code, and their preferred tour date before submitting the form.
The second way BTS fans can enter the ARMY Soundcheck Sweepstakes is with the “alternative entry.” This form of entry is for fans who did not purchase a physical copy of Map of the Soul: 7 and did not receive a code. Using the same form, fans fill out their name, email, age, city, zip code, and their preferred date for soundcheck tickets. However, for the “alternative entry” fans do not have to provide a code.
Only one entry is allowed per person. If a fan enters multiple times, only the first entry will be counted. The following entries in the sweepstakes will be disqualified.
