Members of BTS ARMY have been saving their coins since Dec. 23, 2019, when Big Hit Entertainment teased an upcoming concert tour on social media. Now, the time has finally come. The South Korean band announced a 39-show world tour. And basically, it’s time to stop playing and get straight to business. Here’s how to get BTS concert tickets for the North American leg of the Map of the Soul tour, including information about the general and pre-sales.

BTS announces tour dates for the ‘Map of the Soul’ tour

On Jan. 21, Big Hit Entertainment revealed the tour dates for the Map of the Soul tour. The tour covers 39 shows across the globe, starting in Seoul and ending in Tokyo. There are also two mysterious TBD locations on Jun. 13 and 14. And according to Ticketmaster, the North American shows each start at 7:30 p.m. local venue time — except for the Apr. 26 concert in Santa Clara, which begins at 7 p.m. PT.

How to register for the BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY Membership Presale

To register for the BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY Membership presale on Ticketmaster, you must complete all of the following by Sunday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. ET:

  • Have an ARMY Membership account on Weply ($30 base price + shipping fee)
  • Apply for the ARMY Member Presale on Weply
  • Register for Ticketmaster Verified Fan

How to purchase an ARMY Membership:

  • Download the Weply app
  • Download the Weverse app
  • Create accounts for Weply and Weverse using the same email
  • Purchase ARMY Membership on Weply
  • Follow remaining directions prompted by Weply

How to apply for the ARMY Member Presale:

  • Once you have an ARMY Membership, open the Weply app
  • Click “More” in the bottom right corner
  • Click “Events” under the “Support” section
  • Click “ARMY MEMBER PRESALE for BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR — NORTH AMERICA”
  • Follow remaining directions prompted by Weply

How to register for Ticketmaster Verified Fan:

  • Create or sign in to your Ticketmaster account
  • Go to the BTS Global Official Fanclub ARMY Membership Presale Registration page
  • (If applicable, wait in the queue)
  • Fill in the areas prompted by Ticketmaster
  • Note: There are two ways to find your ARMY Membership order number
    • Option one: Locate your “order number” inside of your membership confirmation email sent from [email protected]
    • Option two: Open the Weply app
    • Click “My”
    • Click “Orders”
    • Find and click “GLOBAL OFFICIAL FANCLUB ARMY MEMBERSHIP”
    • Locate “Order Number” inside the “Order Detail” page
  • Click submit

Once submitted, you should receive a confirmation email from Ticketmaster. Then if you are verified and selected to participate in the ARMY Membership presale, you will receive another confirmation email from on Tuesday, Feb. 4. You will also get a text with a personal access code for the presale.

The membership presale begins on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. local venue time and ends at 11 p.m. You will be limited to 2 tickets per show. For more details about the fan club membership and registration, go to Weverse’s website.

How to get BTS tickets from Ticketmaster’s General Verified Fan Presale

Now, you do not need to purchase the ARMY Membership to buy presale tickets for the BTS Map of the Soul tour. Instead, you can choose to register for the General Verified Fan Presale on Ticketmaster. Here’s how:

  • Create or sign in to your Ticketmaster account
  • Go to the general presale page
  • (If applicable, wait in the queue)
  • Fill in the prompted areas by Ticketmaster
  • Click submit

Once submitted, you should receive a confirmation email from Ticketmaster. You will then get another email on Wednesday, Feb. 5 to determine whether you have been verified and selected. You will also be texted a personal access code for the presale.

The Ticketmaster Verified Fan Presale kicks off Thursday, Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. local venue time and ends at 11 p.m. Everyone will be limited to 4 tickets per code. Note: The Verified Fan Presale begins a day after the ARMY Membership presale.

How to buy general tickets for the BTS ‘Map of the Soul’ concert tour in 2020

BTS concert tickets for the Map of the Soul tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. local venue time. You can buy tickets on LiveNation.com. The website also has a countdown associated with each stop to determine what time each show goes on sale.

As of this write-up, prices for the BTS tour in 2020 have yet to be announced. So fans will have to wait and see what is decided for the tour at a later date. Meanwhile, you will be unable to call Ticketmaster to purchase tickets, unlike the BTS Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour.

BTS fans react to the ‘Map of the Soul’ concert tour announcement

Following BTS’ tour announcement, ARMY expressed their thoughts on social media. And in a matter of minutes, #BTSTOUR2020 trended on Twitter as fans shared their excitement and good vibes for successful ticket purchases come February.

“prayer circle: getting a code for bts tour tickets,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“FINALLY!!! My soul can kind of rest now,” another fan wrote on Reddit.

Meanwhile, other fans posted some tips on how to buy BTS tickets, such as having a good internet connection. However, one fan on Twitter gave out an extraordinary piece of advice that every member of ARMY should hear.

“Reminder: there are no bad seats at a @BTS_twt concert,” the fan wrote. “So if you’re on a budget, the tickets further away from the stage are still incredible. You can see the entire ARMY ocean from up there and it’s an incredible view. Just FYI.”
