BTS started a VLIVE after their Grammy performance

Immediately following the Grammy Awards, BTS held a VLIVE livestream to talk about the event with ARMY. The livestream lasted a little over 16 minutes, and the group titled it “We’re back from the 2020 Grammys~!”

“This is our second time at the Grammys,” RM said in the VLIVE. “We’re here for the second time for the 2020 Grammys.”

The rest of the BTS members broke out into an applause.

“Thank you so much,” Jungkook said.

At the 2019 Grammy Awards, BTS made history as the first Korean act to appear and present at the awards show. The 2020 Grammy Awards marked BTS’s second appearance at the event and their first time ever performing.

BTS talked about their performance in the Grammy VLIVE

After starting the livestream, the members of BTS discussed their performance. Because they were part of the “Old Town Road All-Stars” medley, they did not have the chance to perform their own solo stage.

“We weren’t given much time. But I want to thank everyone including the members for everything they did,” RM said.

“Being here itself is an achievement,” V said.

“Everything that’s happening right now is surreal,” Jimin said.

RM said, “We’re the first Korean singers performing at the Grammys. We wanted to do more. I’d love to sing our song here one day…”

“I thought that too after the performance,” J-Hope added.

Suga then reminded the group that they are taking things one step at a time.

“Do you remember when we attended the Billboard Music Awards?” He asked. “We accepted the award and nothing else. I think we need to take one step at a time.”

BTS wants to perform their own song next year

During the wholesome VLIVE, BTS expressed how they hoped one day they will be able to perform their own solo stage at the Grammy Awards.

“The Recording Academy, if you’re watching this,” RM said.

“Say it in English,” Jin encouraged.

“Next year,” RM said in English.

“We hope to do more next time, please,” RM then said in Korean.

The members of BTS discussed how difficult it is to even be nominated for a Grammy Award. Because of this, being able to perform was a big deal.

“I think some people would know, but it’s incredibly difficult to get the award,” Suga said.

RM said, “It requires more than good numbers.”

The members celebrated in the VLIVE

After discussing their performance, the members of BTS talked about what they enjoyed about the Grammy Awards. They talked about meeting and reconnecting with other artists they are friends with and admire. The members also talked about what it was like to watch the other performances.

Towards the end of the VLIVE, the group brought out champagne and cake to celebrate being at the Grammy Awards.

“I’m glad to be here with you, for the Grammys, far away from home,” Jungkook said in his toast. “I’m also happy to be here with ARMY. I hope we can come next year again.”
