In case you haven’t noticed, BTS and Big Hit Entertainment are gearing up for a new era. Merely a week into 2020, the South Korean band announced their follow-up to Map of the Soul: Persona with their upcoming comeback album, Map of the Soul: 7. Since then, the group’s social media team has been slowly changing every logo and layout to fit the upcoming concept. And now, it’s finally real. BTS has officially released the pre-order details for Map of the Soul: 7, including what goodies will be included when you purchase the new album.

On Jan. 7, BTS announced their new album, Map of the Soul: 7, will be released on Friday, Feb. 21, with pre-orders beginning Jan. 9. This comes 10 months after Persona emerged from the seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

That said, it seems the release date of Map of the Soul: 7 was teased earlier this year through a Twitter post by ARMYPEDIA, the fan archive of all things BTS, created 2,080 days after the group’s June 13, 2013 debut.

“How many days will February 21, 2019 be from BTS debut?” ARMYPEDIA asked fans on Twitter back in March 2019. The answer? 2,080 days.

What is included in BTS ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ package?

Following the Map of the Soul: 7 announcement, Big Hit Entertainment unveiled BTS’s comeback schedule and pre-order notice. The company previewed what’s on the horizon, including two comeback trailers on Jan. 10 and Feb. 3. They also showcased the blue and yellow “7” logo from the album, reminiscent of the colors represented in the Young Forever cover from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (HYYH) era.

Meanwhile, the Map of the Soul: 7 pre-order notice informed fans of all the items fans will receive when buying the album. And according to the release, four versions of the album are available with one CD for each version.

Fans will get a 36-page photo book, a 20-page mini-book filled with HYYH Notes, a set of eight photo cards, coloring paper, and a poster — all of which are different depending on the album version. The package will also include a 52-page lyric book, postcard, and sticker.
