BTS: V Might Release a Mixtape and Fans Can’t Wait
ARMY has another mixtape to be excited for. In addition to waiting for Jungkook’s first mixtape and Suga’s second mixtape, V dropped hints to BTS fans that he could be planning to release his own mixtape.
V has been working on songs
During the most recent season of BTS: Bon Voyage, V told the members of BTS that he has been writing songs. On March 6, V and RM held a VLIVE to talk with fans. During the VLIVE, V once again shared that he has been writing songs. One of those songs ended up being the song “Sweet Night” which was featured in the Itaewon Class OST.
“V, have you been writing songs recently?” RM asked.
“I’ve written three songs,” V answered.
During the VLIVE, the two also discussed the songwriting process for “Inner Child,” V’s solo song from BTS’s album Map of the Soul: 7.
“Normally, people say emotions volatilize after that moment. It disappears in the sky,” RM said. “Most emotions disappear. Writing down the emotions you felt at the time is…”
“You can’t feel it again in the future,” V said.
“It’s a great attitude as a writer,” RM said. “When working on ‘Inner Child,’ V was… I’ve worked on several solo tracks for other members. When I send them a file, they will edit it on their own. And they would finally confirm. But V and I had an active conversation while working on ‘Inner Child.'”
V might release a mixtape soon
V often plays online games with fans. While in the chatroom of a game, V hinted that he could release a mixtape in the near future.
“I wrote several songs. Please anticipate it,” V wrote in one message according to a fan translation.
His second post read, “I should release a mixtape.”
As V’s chatroom posts spread throughout social media, fans could not get over how the singer chose to share his possible announcement.
“like….only tae would announce a potential mixtape release on a game chatroom with fans,” a fan tweeted.
“Tae announcing the release of his mixtape in a game chatroom is so him,” wrote a Twitter user.
BTS fans can’t wait for the mixtape
BTS recently announced they are working on another album, meaning fans are anticipating a new album, a Japanese album, Suga’s mixtape, Jungkook’s mixtape, Suga’s upcoming collaboration with IU, and now V’s mixtape. After V hinted a mixtape could be on its way, BTS fans trended #KTH1ISCOMING on Twitter to express their excitement.

“APPARENTLY A KARMY POSTED AN SCREENSHOT OF THE CHAT TAE HAS BEEN PLAYING AND THERE HE SAID TO PLEASE LOOK FORWARD TO THE SONGS HES BEEN WRITING AND THAT HE’LL BE RELEASING A MIXTAPE?/$$:$/):$ KTH1 IS COMING KTH1 IS COMING,” one fan tweeted.
“REALLY looking forward to Taehyung vocalizing his self written poetic lyrics against the backdrop of his self written soothing melodies I’m sure he left us many purple balloons in his new songs #KTH1ISCOMING,” tweeted a fan.
