Prince Charles and Camilla had to self-isolate

In March, Prince Charles tested positive for the coronavirus.

Clarence House confirmed the news in a statement that read, “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health…It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”

Camilla did not test positive but on the advice of doctors, she self-isolated from her husband for 14 days.

Camilla says she ‘hated’ and ‘didn’t understand’ this essential tool

When the duke and duchess got back to work things were quite different than they once were. They had to either postpone all their in-person meetings or conducted them via video. This was also true when it came to connecting with their family and it’s something Camilla had to get used because she wasn’t very good with technology and disliked the internet.

“I’m ashamed to say that I really hated the internet,” The Express quoted her as saying. “I didn’t understand it and thought, ‘what’s the point of this?’”

Eventually though she adapted and now feels a lot differently revealing that “Since lockdown, it’s been so brilliant because I’ve been able to communicate with family, my children, [and] my friends.”
