Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Fans Think Their New Video Didn’t Need Kylie Jenner
Some fans think Kylie Jenner has nothing left to do. At 23, she’s already started her own company, then sold it for an outrageous price, nearly making her a billionaire. She’s worked as a model, and she’s a mom. Kylie has accomplished more things in just 23 years than most people do in 80. So what’s next? Is she going to spend the rest of her life partying and raising Stormi? Will she start a new company? Or, is she going to start a music career?
It doesn’t seem like it, given fans’ opinions on her recent cameo in a video with Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B.

Kylie has always hung out around musicians. One of her first boyfriends, Tyga, is an accomplished rapper. Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott, is also a hip-hop industry insider. So Kylie already has an in with the music biz. Although she’s never shown an interest in making music herself, she recently made a surprise appearance in Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s most recent music video.
The video, for the song “WAP,” dropped on August 6th. Stallion and Cardi B are clearly the stars of the show. The video opens on a mansion, and Cardi and Stallion walk the halls encountering various wild animals. Kylie then appears walking by herself, wearing a floor-length leopard-print cape. Kylie enters a room alone and doesn’t appear again in the video. She’s really only part of it for a few seconds, but the video sheds some light on a recent incident that has fans of Stallion shocked and concerned.
Megan Thee Stallion was reportedly shot last time she hung out with Kylie Jenner
Kylie and Stallion posted a video together at a pool party in July. Also in attendance was Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper. Apparently something happened in the early morning hours between Lanez and Stallion. A gun went off, and Stallion claims it was with the intention of harming her. Other witnesses say the gun was shot into the air. Either way, Stallion ended up in the hospital and needed surgery on her foot, while Lanez was arrested on gun charges. More charges could follow if the police determine Stallion was intentionally harmed.
Fans were confused when they saw Stallion and Kylie together. Stallion is friends with Jordyn Woods, Kylie’s ex BFF. Woods was exiled from the KarJen clan after stepping out with Tristan Thompson, Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend. Seeing the music video, it makes more sense. The video was apparently filmed about a week before the pool party, according to Pinkvilla. Stallion and Kylie could have gotten closer on the set of the music video. But fans are still unsure why Kylie was included in the music video in the first place.
Fans don’t think Kylie Jenner adds much to the music video
Kylie has often been accused of cultural appropriation, and fans think this is just giving her a platform to justify more of it. As one twitter user put it, “its like why are they rewarding sis with more clout? and now the next time she appropriates her minions are gonna be like ‘well meg, a black woman, had her in the vid blah blah blah” i dont get it :/'”
According to many fans users, the Kylie part of the video ruined the whole thing. One fan said “I was loving the video up until that point..” Some are hoping that it will be cut in the uncensored version of the video. Others think that the part should have gone to another artist, since there are so many great up and coming female hip-hop stars out there now. While more artists did end up having cameos in the second half of the video, none are as striking as Kylie’s solo strut down the hall.
