Haters, trolls, and sometimes even and have been known to say terrible and horrific things to celebrities. Rapper Cardi B, who continues to dominate the music industry, has gotten more than a bit of criticism hurled her way.

After fans spotted Cardi rushing to turn off her hit song “WAP” before her daughter Kulture could listen to the explicit lyrics, she is blasted and mom-shamed.

Thankfully, Cardi is not one to back down from a confrontation; she is dragging the haters and asking them to use common sense.

‘WAP’ has become a massive success for Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion

Since it first debuted on Aug. 7, 2020, “WAP” has been a massive success. It debuted as No. 1 on the Billboard Charts with record-breaking numbers that included 93 million U.S. streams and 125,000 downloads.

Billboard has called the song “one of the most dominant Hot 100 No. 1s of the last 30 years.”  However, due to the sexually explicit lyrics and because two Black women are at the song’s helm, both Cardi and Megan have received unprecedented backlash about the song.

From fellow rappers to politicians, it seems like everyone has something negative to say about “WAP” even though male rappers have had sexually explicit and even misogynistic lyrics for decades. Thankfully neither Megan nor Cardi are letting this get to them.

Fans have tried to mom-shame Cardi B about ‘WAP’

Cardi is known for her outgoing personality. Recently on an Instagram live, she was seen dancing and chatting with fans with her song “WAP” blasting in the background. However, when her daughter Kulture walked into the room, she quickly turned off the song saying, “No, no, no.”

Though this seemed like a very normal reaction, one fan tried to mom-shame Cardi, asking why everyone else’s daughter had to listen to “WAP” but not Kulture.

Cardi was not about to take this lying down and she immediately clapped back with a no-nonsense response.

Cardi B dragged fans who tried to mom-shame her about ‘WAP’

From the moment she stepped on to the scene, Cardi has been known for her lack of filter and straight forward attitude. She has always been an explicit rapper and has never made music that has been appropriate for children. Though she is a mother herself, she has been clear that she does not let her toddler-age daughter, Kulture listen to her music.

When fans tried to mom-shame her over “WAP” yet again, she was quick to drag them. “I’m not [JoJo Siwa]! I don’t make music for kids, I make music for adults,” Cardi tweeted. “Parents are responsible on what their children listen too or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child, just like every other parent should be.”

Cardi was beyond exasperated with the constant hate she receives due to sexism. “There’s moms who are strippers […] does that mean they do it around their kids? No!” she added. “It’s pretty much common sense.”
