The Kardashian-West family is one of the most well-known and influential celebrity families of all-time. Kim and Kanye first met in the mid-2000s, long before they began dating. Both were involved in celebrity couples, as Kardashian was married to music producer Damon Thomas and NBA player Kris Humphries, and both marriages ended in divorce.

West famously dated designer Alexis Phifer and model Amber Rose, before he married Kardashian. The rapper and reality star reportedly met while Kardashian was hanging out with musical artist Brandy, who was recording a song with West. Soon after the pair started dating, and the two’s relationship has been in the public eye ever since.

Despite the Kardashian and West’s big personalities, and the even bigger spotlight on them, their relationship seems to be based on a deep love and commitment to each other and their growing family and still going strong to this day.

Kim Kardashian’s life as a child

Kimberly Noel Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980, in Beverly Hills, California. She is the second of four children, and the middle of the Kardashian sister born to parents are Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Her siblings are Kourtney, Khloé, and Robert Junior, all of whom are featured on various Kardashian reality shows.

The elder Robert Kardashian was a high-powered attorney and media mogul, who became famous due to his involvement in the trial of his good friend O.J. Simpson for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Kardashian gained fame for his role on Simpson’s “Dream Team” of lawyers, before his death in 2003.

Jenner and Kardashian had already broken up during the trial, and Jenner was dating Caitlyn Jenner. Kris Jenner was a good friend of Brown Simpson, and the children even attended the funeral.

Kim Kardashian’s rise to fame started with her relationship with the hotel heiress Paris Hilton. Kardashian was a childhood classmate and friend of Paris Hilton, and later became Hilton’s stylist and personal assistant. Kardashian appeared in Hilton’s reality show, and eventually had a falling out.

Then in 2007, Kim exploded into the national spotlight with her infamous sex tape with rapper Ray J. The family’s reality show premiered in 2008, and the rest is history. Since then, Kim has become one of the most well-known celebrities in the world, a feat that has been helped along due to her relationship and family with West.
