The Super Bowl is Feb. 2, which means commercials for the big game have already started rolling out. Chris Evans, John Krasinski, and Rachel Dratch recently starred together in a hilarious Super Bowl commercial for Hyundai.

The commercial is Boston-themed

In the commercial, Evans, Krasinski, and Dratch team up to advertise a self-parking car. Both Evans and Krasinski were born in Boston and Dratch was born in Massachusetts. The commercial, appropriately titled “Smaht Pahk,” advertises the Hyundai Sonata’s new Remote Smart Parking Assist feature.

Evans and Dratch greet each other with Boston accents. As they stand on the sidewalk, they watch a person attempt to park a car in a tight spot. Then Krasinski drives up.

“Look at these two troublemakahs,” he says.

“Wicked cah!!” Dratch says. “Is that new?”

Krasinski tells her it’s a Sonata as he gets ready to park it. He then gets out of the car and walks over to Dratch and Evans.

“Look who’s got Smaht Pahk,” he says. Krasinski then proceeds to click a button and the car begins to park itself in the spot.

“Smart Pahk?” Dratch asks.

“Just hit the clickah, cah pahks itself,” he replies.

Onlookers then yell that the car has no driver.

“No, it’s all right, he’s got Smaht Pahk!” Evans reassures them.

This was Chris Evans and John Krasinski’s first time working together

Believe it or not, but the commercial for Hyundai is the first time Evans and Krasinski have ever worked together. However, both actors were up for the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The role ended up going to Evans.

“My agent called and said, ‘They’re going to go with Chris Evans,'” Krasinski told Variety. “And I remember I said, ‘Yeah, look at him. He’s Captain America.'”

Krasinski learned of Evans’ casting before going to dinner with his wife Emily Blunt for her birthday. Blunt offered to cancel dinner, but Krasinski said it was not necessary.

“I said, ‘It’s Chris Evans. Of course, we’re going to dinner,'” Krasinski told her.

John Krasinski brought up the casting again on his birthday

Krasinski turned 40 years old on Oct. 20, 2019. For his birthday, the actor held a fundraiser with Family Reach. The organization provides financial assistance to families fighting cancer. To raise money, Krasinski tweeted at several celebrities encouraging them to donate. One of those celebrities was Evans.

“Alright getting into the afternoon here and this donation train keeps a rollin! Hey @ChrisEvans remember when you robbed me of the role of Captain America?… time to pay up? #JKbday@familyreach,” he tweeted.

Evans then had the perfect reply to Krasinski’s tweet. He replied with a gif of Krasinski as Jim Halpert in The Office. In the gif, Jim cuts part of his tie to make Pam feel better about her veil ripping before their wedding.

In the gif of the scene Jim says, “There. Now we’re even.”

Evans’ response was beloved by Marvel and The Office fans alike. After the Hyundai commercial, perhaps Evans and Krasinski will have another chance to work together.
