Chrissy Teigen Has 1 Truly Disgusting Low-Carb Snack Habit

Chrissy Teigen isn’t afraid to get candid about her innermost thoughts and feelings, even if they’re controversial. She’s one of the most popular celebs to follow on social media because of her outspoken, irreverent personality, plus her amazing sense of humor and ability to laugh at herself — and at her husband, John Legend.

Teigen has admitted to having an extremely adventurous palate and even once said she’d be willing to sample human meat if the opportunity arose. Though experimental cannibalism is probably her most shocking eating habit, this one favored snack is also pretty gross when you think about it.

Teigen is not sorry for her junk food obsession

So many celebrities love to share their green smoothie recipes or extol the virtues of a vegan diet. But Teigen is refreshingly down to Earth when she admits to loving all the good junk food like chicken wings, queso dip, and, of course, Taco Bell.

“I eat fast food a few times a week,” she told Delish in a 2017 interview. “Sometimes I go a little crazy, especially when things get nuts and I’m in L.A. I’m used to living in New York and I myself would never ever venture into a Taco Bell or McDonald’s. But there’s something about L.A., with the drive-thru — it’s too easy.”

She has one disgusting snack habit

Going low carb is all the rage lately, with so many celebrities recommending the keto diet or other similar plans for weight loss and maintenance. Even Teigen seems amenable to the idea of limiting her carb intake, though she does it in a very controversial way.

“I lick off the nacho cheese seasoning and put the chips back in the bag. You still get all the flavor, not all the carbs!” she told Delish.

Hopefully, she just throws the bag away after this ritual? Otherwise Legend might be a little grossed out by all those naked, saliva-coated chips.

Teigen has plenty of other rules for eating carbs

Licking the nacho cheese off chips isn’t the only trick Teigen has for keeping her carb intake low. For one, she avoids carb-heavy breakfasts most of the time.

“I get really mad when I hear there’s a continental breakfast somewhere. I’m not a big breakfast pastry, chocolate croissant girl,” she said “I have to have eggs every day. I like a farmer’s breakfast: two over-easy eggs, turkey bacon or pork sausage, sliced avocado, and grilled tomatoes.”

And she never has pancakes. “Anytime I eat pancakes I feel like such a glutton,” she told Delish. “Even though I’ll eat the same amount of calories in fried chicken. For some reason it just sits and I feel really gross and mad at myself all day.”

She’s not afraid to experiment with foods

The most refreshing part of Teigen’s eating regimen is she refuses to deprive herself of what she really wants. Fast food, midnight snacks, and downright bizarre food combinations are all on the table.

“Hot Pockets are fun. I also love cashews and pistachios; I’m a big nut eater. But ideal midnight snack would be Cup Noodles or Hot Pockets,” she dished to Delish.
