Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings blog is filled with her favorite recipes that aren’t “too perfect” but always delicious. According to Teigen, there isn’t an ingredient in the kitchen that’s better to cook with than instant ramen.

She loves it so much that she even added it to a salad recipe in her first cookbook. The former model says that it’s easy to change up ramen, and people will think you are “fancy AF.”

Chrissy Teigen’s Dan Dan Style Instant Ramen

Teigen has three simple ways that you can take instant ramen to the next level. Her first idea is for a Chilled Dan-Dan Style, which is Chinese noodles and a sesame peanut sauce. You begin with two packages of instant ramen, but you won’t need the seasoning packets. You can toss them in the trash or save them for something else.

While you are cooking the ramen according to package directions, you will also make the peanut sauce. Tiegen’s recipe calls for sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and peanut butter, which you will whisk together in a medium bowl until smooth.

After straining the ramen noodles, you put them in a large bowl and pour in the peanut sauce. Toss the noodles to coat them with the sauce, then put the bowl in the refrigerator for 45 minutes until cold.

The final step is to top the noodles with slicked cooked chicken breast and garnish with black sesame seeds and green onions. Tiegen’s recipe is enough for two people. But you can easily scale it if needed.

The Pork No-Soup Ramen recipe is super easy and customizable

Tiegen’s second idea for instant ramen is her No Broth Pork Ramen recipe. The only ingredients you will need are two packages of ramen noodles, a half-pound of ground pork, salt, one to two cups of sliced veggies, and sliced scallions.

You can choose what type of veggies you want to add to the dish, but Teigen recommends onions and grape tomatoes. This recipe begins with putting the noodles from two packages of instant ramen into boiling water. Cook the noodles according to the package directions. At the same time, you will cook the ground pork in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Stir the pork frequently to break it up until it’s brown and cooked through. Next, season the pork with some salt, turn off the burner, and stir in the two seasoning packages that came with the ramen noodles.

Add your noodles and veggies to the pork in the frying pan, and stir. When you serve this dish, Teigen recommends garnishing with green onions.

Chrissy Teigen’s Pho-Style Ramen takes noodles to the next level

Teigen’s third idea for instant ramen is her Pho-Style recipe, which is Vietnamese noodle soup with aromatic broth. This dish calls for a few more ingredients than the other two, but it’s still very simple to make. For the Pho-Style ramen recipe,  you will need the following ingredients:

  • Sliced onion
  • Cooked Thai pork meatballs
  • Bok choy
  • 2 packages ramen noodles
  • White vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • Fish sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Cilantro leaves
  • Sprouts
  • Sliced scallions
  • Sliced red chili peppers
