Counting On star Jinger Duggar has always been viewed as the rebel of the Duggar family. Over the years, she has blatantly ignored some of her father, Jim Bob Duggar’s, strictest rules and continues to forge her own path now that she is living in Los Angeles with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. From her dreams of living in a big city to her decision to wait to have children, here are 9 times that Jinger proved she is the ultimate Duggar rebel.

9. Jinger has always dreamed big

When fans first met Jinger on 19 Kids and Counting, she always talked about breaking away from her humble roots. This includes her dream to become a photographer. Although Jinger has yet to take formal classes on the subject, she has shown off her photography skills on social media on more than one occasion.

8. Jinger Duggar rebels in the most fashionable way possible

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have a bunch of rules for their children, and some of those edicts determine what they are allowed to wear. But Jinger has continued to flaunt these rules on social media, regardless of what her parents teach.

This includes wearing dresses that show off her shoulders and rocking jeans. In a recent post on Instagram, Jinger even wore a pair of ripped jeans, which is about as rebellious as it gets for the Duggars.

7. Jeremy has a unique background

Most of the Duggars have married people who share a similar background and belief system. Jinger, however, is the exception to the rule.

Jinger’s husband, Jeremy, used to play soccer at a professional level. According to Cafe Mom, during his days on the field, Jeremy partied hard and had lots of girlfriends. He has since turned things around and is on the same page as Jinger, but he is still very different from the rest of the Duggar spouses.

6. The big move to Texas

Jinger has always talked about her desire to move to a big city, and she took a major step towards that goal when she and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas. Although they did not move to a major big city, it was still far enough away from Jim Bob and Michell to matter.

5. Jinger Duggar waited to have children

Most of the Duggars have children right away, but Jinger and Jeremy waited over a year before they started a family of their own. That has led many Counting On fans to speculate that Jinger was on birth control, something even she has never confessed.

4. Felicity was born in a hospital

Speaking of children, the Duggars also tend to favor at-home births instead of using hospitals. Jinger, on the other hand, did not even consider having her first child, Felicity, at home and checked out nearby hospitals as soon as she discovered she was pregnant. We do not know how Jim Bob and Michelle felt about this, but Jinger clearly thought modern medicine was the way to go.

3. Jinger moves to LA

After living in Texas for a while, Jinger and Jeremy relocated once again. Only this time, the couple moved to the bright lights of LA. Last year, the family of three made the trek out west and have bee settling into their new home ever since. The Duggars have ventured out to California for a visit, but Jinger has definitely put about as much space between her and her family as possible.

2. Jeremy and Jinger support higher education

One reason Jinger and Jeremy move to LA was because of his education. Jeremy is currently finishing his degree at a seminary in LA and had to go to campus to complete his coursework. The Duggars are not strictly against education, but they hardly advocate for their children to go to post-secondary school.

We do not know how long the pair will remain in the area, but based on Jinger’s posts on social media, she is loving it there.

1. Jinger Duggar is a reality TV fan

When she was still living in Texas, Jinger revealed that she is a big fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines, who starred on the hit reality show, Fixer Upper. While the Duggars are reality TV stars, they preach against watching television in their households.
