The Duggar family, stars of the TLC show Counting On, consists of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their enormous family. With that said, the show focuses on some kids more than others. But critics feel like one of the Duggar children in the middle of the pack is far more forgettable than the rest.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar technically have 20 kids

When Michelle and Jim Bob wed back in the 1980s, they didn’t waste any time starting a family. Michelle was 17 when she married Jim Bob, and by 19, the couple had welcomed their first son, Josh. Since then, Michelle has had 18 more children for a total of 19 biological kids, prompting family network TLC to give the Duggars their own show, 19 Kids and Counting. The show was scrapped after Josh Duggar’s past was revealed in 2015, but it has since been replaced with Counting On.

Michelle and Jim Bob also took in Michelle’s niece’s son, Tyler, after his mother couldn’t properly care for him, bringing their total children to 20.

Some Duggars are more famous than others

Once Counting On was launched, it became more about the kids’ families. Jill and Jessa Duggar had both wed in 2014, and the show focused on the two women raising their young boys. In 2017, Jill and her husband left the show, but she remains one of the most well-known Duggars and still has a massive social media presence.

These days, some Duggars are more famous than others, and it’s mostly those who are older and have moved out of the house. Jessa, Jill, and Jinger are arguably the most popular, but Joy, Josiah, and Joseph are well known among fans, too. Michelle and Jim Bob’s younger kids, most of whom are still living at home, aren’t quite as memorable because the show doesn’t focus on their lives as much.

Critics think Jason Duggar is the most forgettable

Over the years, middle children have, for some reason, earned the reputation of being the most “forgettable” family members. And apparently, this holds true for the Duggars as well. Jason Duggar, who is the couple’s twelfth child, is, according to critics, the most “forgettable” family member. Though he does make appearances on the show, he often fades into the background and isn’t as memorable as some of his siblings.

Critics of the show took to Reddit to discuss which kids are the most forgettable, with the original poster suggesting Jason “is the most lost” of all the younger kids. Other critics agreed, saying they “forgot” about both Jason and his brother Justin, who is a year younger than him. “Jason, James and Justin are all equally forgettable to me,” another user added.

It’s unclear if the younger kids’ storylines will be followed

The kids all having “J” names doesn’t do much to distinguish them, so it makes sense that the middle children of the family would be a bit more forgettable. Still, Justin, James, and Jason are all of courting age, so it’s possible their storylines will be more followed once they meet their future wives.

Right now, Counting On tends to mostly focus on the kids who have moved out, so there’s a chance Jason’s time in the spotlight will come. However, it might not be until there is a courtship in the works.
