Jinger Duggar, star of the popular TLC show Counting On, loves posting to social media. Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, recently launched a podcast, and they’ve been more active than ever on Instagram.

Critics of the show recently noticed that Jinger, who was homeschooled by her mother, had an improperly worded Instagram caption. And she’s not the first family member to be called out on a suspected lack of education.

Michelle Duggar homeschooled all 19 of her children

When Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar started a family, they decided to homeschool their kids in order to incorporate more religion into the kids’ every day curriculum. Public school did not teach religion, and it would certainly have been expensive to send all those kids to private schools.

Once the older Duggar daughters became teenagers, Michelle recruited them to help teach the younger kids. But that meant that the daughters were educating their siblings while only having a high school education themselves.

Critics once suggested Josiah Duggar’s photo caption signaled a lack of education

Back in February, Josiah Duggar posted an Instagram caption that had fans confused. “I can’t believe it’s been two years ago today,” the caption read, referring to the day Josiah proposed to his wife, Lauren Duggar. The caption didn’t make sense. “It’s been two years ago today” is not a grammatically correct sentence.

With that, it sent some people into a frenzy, suggesting the Duggars never received a proper education and condemning Michelle for homeschooling all of the kids by herself. Some felt it was nearly impossible for her to give individual attention to all of the kids, which permanently affected their education.

Now, critics think the same about Jinger Duggar

Jinger Duggar recently posted a photo that had critics once again attacking Michelle’s homeschooling capabilities. “How are we feeling about Monday today, and the beginning of a new week?” part of Duggar’s caption read. The comma after “today” is unnecessary, and “Monday today” seems redundant — and critics had no problem picking it apart in a recent Reddit thread.

“I almost feel like her pretty dress is to distract us from her abysmal lack of education,” one user wrote. Another person wrote that Jeremy “is definitely not going to allow” Jinger to homeschool their kids, suggesting the homeschooling education isn’t enough for him. “I feel bad for her,” someone else added, referring to the lack of education.

None of the Duggars have four-year college degrees, either

Beyond the homeschooling, some Duggar kids did take college courses. However, none of them have completed four-year college degrees. And while it isn’t necessary to have a four-year degree to be successful, it seems as though none of the kids were ever given the opportunity to do so. It’s unclear exactly what the rules are for the kids’ education, but from what we know, they’re all set up with jobs that don’t require furthering their knowledge through a college or university. But some people have expressed concern that Jim Bob doesn’t allow them to get a four-year degree, which is a bigger deal than if they simply opted out of one themselves.
