The Duggar family just keeps growing. Over the course of the last three months, the family has welcomed four new grandchildren. Kendra Caldwell and Joseph Duggar welcomed their second child, Addison, in November 2019. Lauren Swanson and Josiah Duggar also announced the arrival of their first daughter, Bella, the same month. Josh Duggar and Anna also added to their family in November 2019 with their sixth child. Finally, John Duggar and Abbie Burnett brought home their baby girl in January 2020. With so many little Duggars running around, it would stand to reason that a few bad names would show up. Followers of the Duggar family just noticed that John and Abbie’s daughter has a name that sounds an awful lot like a sweet snack.

John and Abbie announce the arrival of their daughter

John and Abbie welcomed their first daughter, Grace Annette on Jan. 7. The arrival of Grace, who will go by the nickname Gracie, was announced on the couple’s Instagram page. John and Abbie have a special meaning behind their child’s name, too. Grace is Abbie’s middle name, while Annette is Michelle Duggar’s middle name.

Abbie reportedly had a difficult pregnancy. The mother of one admitted that she suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum, the same condition that Kate Middleton reportedly dealt with during her three pregnancies. The couple has not mentioned if they are planning to have more children in the future.

Fans notice that Grace Annette sounds an awful lot like Raisinet when said quickly

Grace Annette sounds like a perfectly nice name upon first look. In fact, it reads just fine. The name is pretty and seems to have some significant meaning behind it. After all, Annette is the family matriarch’s middle name. The problem comes in when you say the two names together very quickly.

Grace Annette sounds an awful lot like Raisinet when you say it quick enough, notes a Reddit user. The standard movie theater snack was first introduced in 1927 in Philadelphia. Initially owned by the Blumenthal Brothers Chocolate Company, Raisinets are now produced by Nestle. Raisinets are the number one selling chocolate-covered raisin in the country.

Grace Annette doesn’t have the worst name in the family

The connection fans made between Grace’s full name and the chocolate covered raisin brand is pretty funny. Neither John nor Abbie likely realized how the name sounded when said quickly.  The baby is also unlikely to go by her first and middle name in everyday life, so all should work out fine. Even if she were to go by Grace Annette, she still wouldn’t have the worst name in the family, argue followers.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald shocked fans when they named their first child Spurgeon. Named after a Baptist preacher, Spurgeon goes by “Spurgey” these days, although it appears that Jessa was never really on board with the name. The mother of two tried pretty hard to have the youngster go by his middle name, Elliot, but it didn’t stick.

The Duggar kids aren’t the only ones who aren’t great namers. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s naming style has been called into question more than once, too. It would appear that the parents of 19 ran out of steam at some point, and several of their children have names that sound a bit too similar. Joy-Anna and Johanna, for example, are almost indistinguishable when said quickly. Fans have also taken issue with the fact that Jinger Duggar’s name is spelled with a “J” instead of the much more accepted “G” spelling.
