The fate of the Duggar family’s reality TV show seems to be in jeopardy. With a looming federal investigation, a coronavirus shutdown, and a rogue in-law spilling the beans, family critics don’t think Counting On is long for the TV world. Whether or not Jim Bob will be financially sound if that were to happen is an interesting question. While Jim Bob has a booming real estate business, he still has a lot of mouths to feed. In fact, the majority of the Duggar kids either rely on Jim Bob for money directly or still live under his roof. So, just how many Duggar kids are still living at home? We figured it out for you.

Several Duggars remain at home with their parents

Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids may be aging into adulthood, but that doesn’t mean the family home will be empty anytime soon. Jana Duggar, the family’s eldest daughter, is still living at home with her parents, despite turning 30 in January. She remains unmarried, and, according to Duggar family rules, can’t leave the house until she finds a partner.

Her brothers, Jeremiah Duggar, Jason Duggar, and James Duggar, also live in their childhood home, even as legal adults. Jeremiah turned 21 in December and is reportedly serving as his twin brother’s campaign manager. His twin, Jedidiah Duggar, announced he would be running for political office in November 2019.

Jason, now 20, is still taking up residence in his childhood bedroom, too. Jason is reportedly in the house flipping business. In 2018, he flipped his first home, at the tender age of 18, according to In Touch. Even with experience in home buying, he has yet to purchase a house to live in, though. James, who will turn 19 in July, Like his brothers, appears to work for his father while still living at home.

The rest of the Duggar kids living at home are still too young to move out, that will change quickly, though. Justin Duggar will turn 18 in November, and his younger brother, Jackson Duggar, will soon be 16. 14-year-old Johannah is the oldest of the younger Duggar girls. Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie Duggar were all born within two years as each other. Josie, who is the family’s youngest child, turned 10 in December. Jim Bob and Michelle are also legal guardians of their nephew, Tyler.

Jedidiah Duggar claims to be the first Duggar to move out of the family home before marriage

While Jeremiah remains in the family’s Arbor Acres Road home, his twin brother claims to be living on his own. When KNWA approached Jedidiah about the rumors of a federal investigation, he said that he didn’t reside inside the home, and had no idea what was going on with the reported raids. The admission caught family followers by surprise. If true, Jedidiah would be the first Duggar to move out of the family home before marriage.

Family critics, however, aren’t buying it. Many believe that Jedidiah’s claim is an outright lie. It’s possible he’s trying to distance himself from the family to help his political aspirations. Living at home would likely make Jedidiah look immature to most voters. The looming federal investigation may also be a reason to lie. Jedidiah does appear to have an address outside of the family’s Arbor Acres home, but family critics aren’t convinced that he lives at the address.

Married Duggar children don’t venture far from home either

Derick Dillard, who married Jill Duggar in 2014, has lent credence to the longstanding theory that Jim Bob likes to control his adult children. Jim Bob’s been pretty successful at it, too. Even after the Duggar kids marry, very few of them venture far from home.

Joshua Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar, are believed to be living inside a warehouse on the Duggar property. Joseph Duggar, along with his wife and two children, is also lying low on the family’s acreage. Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, reside in a small, 2-bedroom home that was once owned by Mary Duggar, and Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson are also living in a Duggar-owned property within 15 minutes of the family’s compound.

The only two Duggars who have ventured away from the family are Jill and Jinger Duggar. Jinger, now living in Los Angeles, has put a lot of space between herself and her family, at least geographically. Jill, who has emerged as the family rebel, lives in a home she and her husband purchased last summer. The house is about 30 minutes from where she grew up, although her interactions with her family appear to be limited.
