‘Counting On:’ Critics Once Again Slam Jessa Duggar For Her Parenting
Jessa Duggar, along with plenty of other Duggar family members, has gotten slammed on social media in the past for the way she is raising her children. Although she is very well liked by most Counting On fans, she isn’t free from the Instagram trolls. Recently, Duggar posted several photos and videos of her boys in an Instagram slideshow, and once again, everyone had something to say.
People have questioned all of the Duggar daughters’ parenting skills
Ever since the Duggar children started welcoming kids of their own, people on Instagram have believed they’re all better parents than the Duggars. Any time Jessa Duggar posts a photo of her children, she gets slammed in one way or another for the “poor decisions” she makes as a parent. She’s even gone so far as to edit her captions to stop the haters before they start. “P.S. Yes, we’re barefoot, and we kept away from the roll of barbed wire, and he didn’t get to keep the prized nail he found… Beat ya to it,” she wrote on a post featuring her two boys playing outside. She’s learned that the trolls will criticize just about everything.
Duggar is soaking up some time with her two boys before her third child arrives
Duggar has been posting plenty of photos of her two boys on Instagram lately, and it’s likely because she and her husband, Ben Seewald, are getting ready to welcome their third child. She said she is due in late spring; likely sometime in the beginning of June. With her due date quickly approaching, she’s spending some time with her boys before all of her days and nights get thrown into caring for a third child. Duggar and Seewald have learned the gender of their new baby but have decided to keep it a secret from the rest of the family.
Critics took to Instagram to slam Duggar for her sons’ new tricycles
Recently, Duggar took a video of her two sons playing on their new tricycles. And sure enough, the parent police came out of the woodwork and left plenty of comments on Duggar’s post. “Bikes with pedals on the front wheel are disastrous for hips and contribute nothing to kids’ development,” one user wrote. “Please put shoes on those kids in that mud; Geez, Lord only knows what diseases, fecal matter etc. are in that,” another commented.
The comments added up quickly, but there were also people out there supporting Duggar’s parenting choices. “… I have no doubt that between her siblings and her own children she knows how to raise a child,” someone wrote.
Critics seem to give Jill Duggar a hard time, too
Duggar may have been the most recent victim of the parent police, but she definitely hasn’t been the only victim. Her older sister, Jill Duggar, often gets criticized for her parenting as well. Jill Duggar once posted a recipe on her Instagram that had fans suggesting she couldn’t afford to feed her family. She’s also had plenty of people question her ability to homeschool her children. The Duggars do life a bit differently, which may be why so many people are so quick to judge them. But at the end of the day, the ladies are going to parent however they want and hopefully ignore the negativity.
