Corrin joins the cast of The Crown Season 4 portraying Diana in the early days of her relationship with Charles during her transition from shy teen to world-famous royal.

In The Crown Season 4, fans can expect to see Corrin play Diana in a number of historic moments. There’s Charles and Diana’s engagement and, of course, their 1981 royal wedding. Corrin wore a stunning replica of Diana’s royal wedding gown for the scene.

Building up to Diana’s arrival, The Crown Season 3 saw the introduction of Emerald Fennel as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. At the time, she went by Camilla Shand. She and Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) had a relationship but it all changed when Diana arrived on the scene.

Emma Corrin felt a lot of pressure when she got cast as Princess Diana

Corrin spoke with Glass Magazine about playing Diana during a cover interview for their fall issue. As the 24-year-old told the publication, she had to tune out the pressure that came with playing an icon.

“I needed to shut off all the noise that was saying, ‘This is huge. It’s her, how are you going to do this? What will people think?’” she said, according to Instagram.
