According to IMDb, the Cruel Summer Season finale airs on June 15, 2021, on Freeform.

Cruel Summer’s setting is the fictional small town of Skylin, Texas. Since the city does not exist in real life, Cruel Summer mainly filmed in Dallas, Texas. According to The Cinemaholic, the prodcuers used many commercial and residential neighborhoods of Dallas to film the series. The producers chose establishments and areas that hadn’t been updated or modernized to portray the 1990s setting of the show. 

Angela Prescott’s (Brooklyn Sudano) bar is One Nostalgia Tavern in the real-life Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. The roller skating rink in Cruel Summer Episodes 1 and 7 is the Interskate Roller Rink in Lewisville, Texas. The cast and crew filmed Cruel Summer Episode 7 right at that rink and the Music City Mall in real life.

According to The DirtCruel Summer used a few sets, but Martin Harris’s home is a real home in Dallas. The Skylin home of the assistant principals, at 324 Huntington Road is a large estate in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas. Built in 1938, the home features four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Is Martin Harris’ basement real?

Although Martin Harris‘ massive home exists in Dallas, Texas, Cruel Summer filmed the basement scenes on a set nearby. The basement full of mirrors that became Kate’s prison in the series is entirely different from the Preston Hollow estate. According to the Zillow listing, the home’s basement includes a game room, wine cellar, spa bath, and a cedar closet. The house was vacant during the November 2020 filming of the series. However, it’s currently off the market.
