Spice Girl Mel C. was eliminated from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 30

During the Oct. 18 episode of Dancing with the Stars, the celebrities performed to the iconic music from the 1978 film musical Grease. After their quickstep to “You’re The One That I Want,” Chisholm and Savchenko found themselves in the bottom two alongside Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy.

Chisholm is the fifth person to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars Season 30. She joins Martin Kove, Christine Chiu, Brian Austin Green, and Matt James, who were eliminated in the weeks prior.

“You just never know what’s going to happen,” the Spice Girl said in a Twitter post after her elimination, adding:

I just feel a little bit in shock really. My plan was to hopefully be here a little longer, so it feels really weird. In all honesty I’ve been giving myself such a hard time — I truly believe everything happens for a reason.

Cheryl Burke believes Mel C. and Gleb Savchenko should still be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Burke opened up about Chisholm’s elimination from DWTS during the “Dancing Threesome” episode of the Pretty Messed Up podcast. “She and I bonded because we were both talking about how nerve-racking it is as we get older because we’re both performers,” Burke says.

Burke also says she and Chisholm discussed their internal doubt getting “louder and louder.” As Chisholm explained in her video package during Dancing with the Stars’ Grease Night, she was beginning to doubt herself more in the competition. Plus, Chisholm says she didn’t want to let Savchenko down.

The week before, Burke had Chisholm’s DWTS pro partner on the podcast. He had nothing but good things to say about Chisholm’s dedication to the process that is Dancing with the Stars

“My love goes to Mel C. and Gleb, and honestly, I was so bummed,” Burke added. “I pulled [Gleb] aside and I said, ‘Listen, you did the best that you can do and at the end of the day, it’s out of our control.'”

Burke believes Chisholm and Savchenko should still be part of the season 30 competition. “They deserve to still be here,” she concludes.
