The popular 90 Day Fiancé series Darcey & Stacey is back with an explosive season 2. The drama is heating up, especially when it comes to Darcey Silva and Georgi Rusev’s relationship. While Georgi is in D.C. still, the holidays are coming up, and that means so is Aniko’s 16th birthday.

Darcey Silva plans a ‘winter wonderland’ birthday party for Aniko’s sweet 16

Aniko’s birthday is on Christmas, and Darcey has planned to “create a beautiful winter wonderland” at her father Mike’s house. She planned everyone would dress in the color white with a winter wonderland theme, complete with “snowflakes everywhere” and “decorations galore.” Apparently, even Aspen was going to get a gift in true Darcey tradition.

During the same episode, we see Darcey in the car having just gone shopping for some items for Aniko’s upcoming birthday party. Her father, Mike, calls, and he has some bad news to share with his daughter.

The themed party doesn’t happen for a serious reason

Mike waits until Darcey parks the car back at her apartment before delivering the shocking blow. He mentions Darcey’s daughters are at his house, where the party is supposed to take place. Mike reveals a woman came by who was helping set up for the party in question. However, after the woman has already left, she called Mike revealing “that she tested positive for COVID.”

“What?” is Darcey’s initial reaction, and she seems shocked by the news.

“The um, sweet sixteen isn’t gonna happen because of the precautions we need to take,” Mike tells his daughter.

He also informs her that Aniko and Aspen don’t have any symptoms.

“That’s my only concern, the party can wait,” Darcey adds.

Mike reassures her that’s he’s feeling “fine,” and so are her kids. “Obviously, we have to isolate, me and the girls, for 72 hours, and then we’ll go get tested,” Mike adds.

Darcey looks obviously worried, and what mother wouldn’t be? They get off the phone, and Darcey adds, “I didn’t expect this.”

“They’re my blessings,” she adds, and she begins to cry. “Just praying that everybody’s OK.”

Production even shuts down

Darcey is concerned for her family, and when she’s in her apartment in another scene, she says, “Today was supposed to be a magical day for my daughter. Her sweet 16. My daughters, my dad, they’re home quarantined. And I’m not there to protect them. It’s scary. Sad. All I want to do is hold them.”

She tells the camera she’s feeling “upset and overwhelmed right now,” as well as “alone.” She goes on to ask Georgi to come back despite the problems they’ve been having, adding that “I just feel like I need somebody.”

But almost the same moment Georgi arrives, production is shut down after “the crew was notified of a potential COVID-19 concern.” Three weeks later, and production resumes. Darcey’s family was negative for COVID. They celebrated the holidays, and Aniko’s birthday was since celebrated with what looks like a small family gathering according to a short video clip shared of Aniko blowing out her candles on her cake.

At least Aniko was able to celebrate her birthday with her family and everyone was safe.
