‘Darcey & Stacey’: Stacey Says Florian Isn’t Used To Women Talking To Him in a Strong Way
Before Darcey & Stacey even premiered, there were rumors going around that Florian, Stacey’s fiancé, had been photographed with another woman. Last night’s Darcey & Stacey got into some of the drama that ensued after the photos surfaced and how the couple moved past the issue.
Stacey’s friends confront Florian about the photos
Florian goes to dinner with Stacey and two of her friends, Debbie and Reina. There, Stacey’s friends ask Florian about the photos. He walks out, frustrated, leaving Stacey “embarrassed” at the table.
“I don’t like it. No, no, no,” says Reina.
After Florian excuses himself, Stacey goes out after him. He’s outside smoking a cigarette and makes it clear to his fiancé that he doesn’t want to speak to her.
“I feel like I can’t say anything right now,” Stacey tells the cameras. “I know when he acts like that to just, like, walk away. Let him calm down a little, let him cool off. But he needs to chill the f*ck out because we have less than 90 days to get married and now I have cause for concern.”
When Stacey goes back to the table she tells her friends: “He feels like he’s being personally attacked. I get it. I think he’s not understanding where we’re coming from. He’s not used to women talking to him like that, in a strong way.”
“Listen, since I’ve been here, I’ve had to question him about the pictures and everything, and this is the same reaction that I’ve been getting,” she adds.
But after the restaurant fiasco, Florian takes it upon himself to apologize to Stacey with a romantic gesture of strawberries and chocolate. He says he’s sorry and Stacey says she loves him. By the end of the episode, it seems that everyone is on good terms.
Stacey says she knows what she wants
When Stacey and Darcey were interviewed by Entertainment Tonight back in Aug., they spoke about the Florian drama and how Stacey handled everything.
“That’s the journey that Stacey had to go through but she stayed strong,” said Darcey. “I had her back throughout all of it. I just want her to be happy and she just deserves the best, like me.”
By the end of the episode, it seems Stacey and Florian are in a good place. There’s more to their love story on the series in the coming episodes, but Stacey says, right now, she’s “good where [she is] in life.”
