‘Days of Our Lives’ Speculation: Abe Just Might Be Lani’s Father After All
This week’s Days of Our Lives speculation tackles the sensitive issue of Lani’s paternity. Fans of the popular NBC soap opera know that Abe and Paulina’s almost-marriage has now imploded thanks to the truth of her paternity coming out. But there’s still a possibility that Abe might really be Lani’s father after all. Let’s take a look at how this might be possible.

On ‘Days of Our Lives,’ Paulina’s secrets got revealed
Asking Marlena to officiate their wedding wasn’t the wisest thing Abe and Paulina did on Days of Our Lives. It seemed like a good idea at the time, don’t get us wrong. But at the time Abe and Paulina first asked Marlena to be the officiant, she was “normal.” But, by the time of their wedding, the woman was possessed.
And needless to say, it didn’t take long for things to head south very quickly. On the Nov. 17 episode of the show, “Marlena (as Mar-Devil) spilled the beans on Paulina’s closely-guarded secrets. The secrets, of course, involve Lani’s real mother (who is Paulina, spoiler alert). And while Paulina has done a great job of keeping the secrets so far, they’re all going to come out on this episode.”
And thanks to Olivia confirming everything at the wedding, Abe called the whole thing off.
Abe called off the wedding
So, needless to say, there’s nothing but a mess on Days of Our Lives. And Abe, having been through enough, decided he didn’t want to go through anything else. The wedding is off with Paulina — for good.
“Paulina ultimately admitted all of that was true, but she wanted to face this crisis with Abe as husband and wife. Abe said there would be no wedding – not now, not ever,” reported Celeb Dirty Laundry. “After Abe stormed out, Paulina chased after him. Meanwhile, Marlena could barely contain her glee over the nuptials falling apart.”
But is Abe really Lani’s father after all?
With that said, there’s a bit of a convoluted way that Abe really could be Lani’s father, after all. To understand how, we’re going to have to go back into Days of Our Lives history, to a time when Abe was married to Tamara Price, all the way back in 1986, when she was being portrayed by Marilyn McCoo of the 5th Dimension.
Yes, the same woman who sang this song.
SoapHub believes that there’s a chance that Paulina’s baby “didn’t make it” all those years ago. In other words, after Paulina gave birth to her baby and gave her to Tamara to raise, the baby died. We’re not sure how, or why, that happened, but let’s assume for a minute that this happened. At the same time that Paulina’s baby died, Tamara’s love child with Abe was born — and that love child happened to be Lani.
Certainly, people have heard of children taking paternity tests. But maternity tests? Not so much. But anything’s possible in Salem, after all! Of course, this is all just speculation (and very wild speculation, at that). We’re just going to have to tune in to upcoming episodes of Days of Our Lives to find out what happens next.
