Demi Lovato is laying herself bare to the world. With her YouTube docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, the singer is getting candid about her addictions, her near-fatal overdose in 2018, and her past relationships.

Lovato isn’t holding anything back when it comes to her sexuality and the events that pushed her over the edge as far as her sobriety is concerned. Now, Lovato has released a new album, Dancing with the Devil, with features including Ariana Grande, Saweetie, and Noah Cyrus, and it’s safe to say that she’s being as transparent as ever.

In fact, fans are convinced that Track 14, titled “15 Minutes,” is about her short-lived engagement to actor Max Ehrich.

Demi Lovato refused to censor herself on her new album ‘Dancing with the Devil’

Since returning to the spotlight following her overdose in 2018, Lovato has kept it real with her fans. She’s spoken about only having positive people around her, why she’s no longer sober, and she’s kept fans in the loop with her romantic relationships.

Since she’s been upfront on social media, in interviews, and with her docuseries, the singer’s music is just as raw and transparent.

“I don’t censor my substance use in Dancing With the Devil. I don’t hold back from that, so I don’t want to hold back from any other place in my authenticity, you know?” she told Entertainment Weekly. “While I desperately hope that it doesn’t trigger anybody, I also know how important it is for people that are going through those things to have an outlet to be able to listen to.”

Now fans are convinced, Lovato is also unpacking the demise of her relationship on the album.

Demi Lovato’s new song ’15 Minutes’ is about a messy breakup

Lovato began her whirlwind relationship with Ehrich at the top of 2020, and by July of that year, the pair were engaged. However, two months later, their relationship had come to a screeching halt.

Lovato’s fans were always suspicious about the actor love-bombing the singer. The Lovatics had unearthed old social media posts of the Young and the Restless star, disparaging Lovato’s looks and trying to gain other famous women’s attention. It appeared that Ehrich was a clout-chaser who had attached himself to the singer for his own professional gain.

Fans are convinced that ’15 Minutes’ is about her ex-fiancé Max Ehrich

The lyrics for “15 Minutes” are telling. They read

[Verse 1]
Changed your colors so fast
Tried to turn my friends into friends of the past
Always puttin’ you first, could’ve been your future
But you didn’t even care about me like that

[Chorus]
‘Cause you were looking for fifteen minutes, yeah
And now you got fifteen minutes, yeah
Pack your stuff, you can come and get it, yeah (Hahaha)
Ain’t goodbye but it’s good riddance
You got fifteen minutes
Hope you enjoy your fifteen minutes
(Ooh, woah, oh-oh)

In the end, Lovato has also said that though she was shocked to discover some of the things Ehrich did, especially the way he responded to their engagement ending, she also takes some of the blame.

“Honestly, what happened? I think I rushed into something that I thought was what I was supposed to do,” she said in her docuseries. “I realized as time went on that I didn’t actually know the person that I was engaged to.”
