On their respective Instagram accounts, the couple shared the news of their engagement on July 23, 2020. Lovato posted a series of sweet photos of her and Ehrich just moments after the proposal took place on a beach.
“Today I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner,” she wrote in the caption. “I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too … I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all.”
The 27-year-old continued, gushing about her new fiancé.
“You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage,” she said. “I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!”

Ehrich announced the engagement on his Instagram with an equally heartfelt message.
“You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life,” wrote in the caption about Lovato. “Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some. I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife.”

They’ve been sheltering in place together
In March 2020 thanks to social media, Lovato and Ehrich’s relationship status became clear. The actor’s been staying with Lovato at her home and the two even joked about it on Twitter. The “Anyone” singer didn’t confirm the romance with a statement but thanks to their social media accounts, there’s no denying their relationship status.
It’s unclear how Lovato and Ehrich met. First meeting aside, one thing is for sure. They haven’t been shy about their relationship. The two even made an appearance in the music video for “Stuck With U,” a song by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.

When they’re not holed up at Lovato’s home, the couple’s going on trips together. The Grammy-nominated singer posted photos from an “amazing weekend” in Joshua Tree with Elrich on June 16, 2020.
Although she went for work, Lovato commented “it was nice to get away for a couple days.” Tagging him in the post, Lovato wrote, “Thank you for making me so happy my dear … I love going on adventures with you.”
On July 4, 2020, Lovato shared “favorite pic” of her and Ehrich with her nearly 89 million Instagram followers.
