General Hospital has helped several actors break through in their careers over the years. From Star Wars legend Mark Hamill to “Jessie’s Girl” legend Rick Springfield, Port Charles has nurtured some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Demi Moore — known for her roles in Ghost and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle — is another actor whose career got its start on General Hospital. And while she was in Port Charles, another actor — John Stamos of Full House and Fuller House — was her co-star.

Demi Moore played Jackie Templeton on ‘General Hospital’

In 1982, General Hospital cast a young ingenue named Demi Moore in the role of Jackie Templeton. Moore would play that role until 1984. And, in an interesting bit of history, the role of Jackie Templeton was reprised by Kim Delaney in 2020.

When Jackie first arrived in Port Charles, Laura Spencer was kidnapped by Stavros Cassadine. Jackie got involved with Robert Scorpio for a time until he left her and married Holly Sutton. Of course, that earned him a well-earned sock in the face.

Jackie’s legacy is still on the show in the form of Hamilton Chase, the product of her affair with Gregory Chase. Moore, of course, went on to become a Golden Globe nominee, wife (now ex) to Bruce Willis, and mother to Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis.

Moore posted ‘GH’ throwback photos with Stamos on Instagram

Moore recently took to Instagram to post photos of herself with John Stamos when they were on General Hospital together. Moore said Stamos and artist Jim Warren uncovered the photos.

“Wow, negatives from 40 years ago,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you @johnstamos @justjimwarren for unearthing these! #FBF.”

The Daily Mail reported that Stamos and Moore became the “best of friends” during their time on the soap. Fans loved the photos and left sweet comments of their General Hospital memories.

John Stamos originated the role of Blackie Parrish on ‘General Hospital’

Stamos originated the role of Albert “Blackie” Parrish in 1982. He would play Blackie until 1984. He was the foster child of Rick and Lesley Webber.

For longtime GH fans, there is a lot of history between Blackie’s character and the legendary Laura Spencer (aka Genie Francis, who is back on the canvas). When Laura disappeared for a while, Leslie and her husband, Rick, took Blackie in. Though Blackie started out as a “troubled” character, he eventually owned up to his crime of manslaughter and served two years in prison.
