Congrats are in order for New York Knicks player Derrick Rose and his longtime girlfriend, Alaina Anderson, as the pair just got engaged.

How long Rose and Anderson have been together and how many children they have

Rose and Anderson started dating in 2016 and have been going strong ever since.

The couple welcomed two children together. Their daughter, Layla Malibu Rose, was born on March 4, 2018, followed by their son, London Marley Rose, on May 26, 2019.

Rose also has an older son, Derrick Rose Jr., from a previous relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Mieka Reese.

What Anderson does for a living

Anderson was born on Nov. 15, 1994, to parents Anthony and Angela Anderson. She’s is an Instagram model, influencer, and entrepreneur who has her own fitness and athleisure company called Keep It Cute Fitness. Merchandise sold on the website ranges from workout equipment to apparel for exercise and everyday wear.

Shortly after getting engaged Anderson shared a video on the Keep It Cute Fitness Instagram page exercising with Rose and their kiddos writing: “That Mr. & Mrs. workout flow 🥰💖 Couples who work out together, stay together.”

In 2018, multiple outlets reported that Rose and Anderson tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. However, neither party ever confirmed those reports. On Oct. 12, Anderson showed off her massive diamond ring revealing that she and her beau got engaged.

The basketball star’s proposal was definitely one for the ages as Rose asked for Anderson’s hand in marriage during a private dinner on the court of Madison Square Garden. The athlete posted a photo of the engagement ring and their dinner setup on the Knicks home court. He captioned it with a poem he wrote for his lady that read in part: “To My Ace, I didn’t know things were going to go this way… I didn’t know how you were going to perceive me. But this entire time I was hoping that you would believe me. Believe the words that I will have your back and love u forever… It took both of us a while to let down our guards. That’s only becuz both of our hearts were scarred.We are two peas in a pod becuz we are truly MISUNDERSTOOD. We got our heart and swag from this place called ENGLEWOOD. I will always love you becuz you go above and beyond We built a beautiful family and a unbreakable bond. Thank you Queen.”

TMZ Sports noted that Anderson was so surprised by Rose’s proposal because he gave her a promise ring one day earlier and said: “Hopefully one day I can get you the real thing.”
