Lala Kent mingles with ‘RHOSL’ stars

Kent recently returned to Salt Lake City and was spotted filming with a few ladies who might appear on RHOSLC. According to Page Six, Kent was joined by her Vanderpump Rules co-star Katie Maloney and visited a boutique in the area.

Kent is originally from Salt Lake City and is set to exchange vows with Randall Emmett this coming spring. Bravo has not released a full cast list for the new show, but Sara McArthur-Pierce, Whitney Rose, Angie Harrington, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, and Jen Shah are reportedly set to appear on the show.

We do not know for sure if Kent will have a cameo on RHOSLC, but the fact that she was filming some of the show’s potential cast members definitely opens the door for her to join the show.

Lala Kent has not confirmed her involvement in the franchise, but she has talked about RHOSL in previous interviews.

How does Kent feel about ‘RHOSL’?

Kent opened up about RHOSL debut after Bravo made the big announcement at BravoCon last summer. The news was quite unexpected, though the network had been teasing that a new franchise was in the works.

The reality star revealed that she was very surprised when she learned that her hometown was joining Bravo’s Real Housewives lineup.

“I’m from Salt Lake City so this was like Christmas for me!” Lala Kent added. “And I asked [Cohen], I was like, ‘What do you think about it?’ And he was like, ‘It’s going to be so good.’ And I’m not even shocked by that because people that were raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, are crazy.”

The Vanderpump Rules star said that she is confident that the cast members will put on a good show in front of the cameras. She did not say anything about her involvement, but she was definitely excited about the new series.

Kent was also asked about the chances that her mom, Lisa Kent, appears on the new show. As fans are well aware, Kent’s mother is not a huge fan being in front of the cameras, so there’s little chance she will enjoy a cameo.

Lala Kent opens up about her Utah upbringing

A few years ago, Kent dished on what it was like growing up in Salt Lake City. She revealed that it was strange going to school when most of her classmates were Mormon, especially since she does not share their beliefs.

She also explained how she was big in the choir and theater scene, which tended to be filled with people who were not very religious.

In fact, Lala Kent really did not have that many interactions with Mormons because of her involvement in the arts.

Kent’s co-star, Maloney, was also born and raised in Salt Lake City. No word yet on whether or not Maloney is looking to land a spot on RHOSL as well.

Bravo has not announced when the first season of RHOSL will premiere, though the show is expected to debut sometime this year.

Andy Cohen opens up about ‘RHOSL’

Salt Lake City getting its own Real Housewives franchise came as a big shock to many fans. But there is a good reason why the network picked Utah out of all the places in the country.

When long-time Bravo host announced the new franchise last summer, he revealed that part of the reason they chose Salt Lake City is because they knew nobody was suspecting it.

“We’ve always tried to choose cities that have completely unique personalities and we also try to throw a little curveball now and then, pick somewhere that you maybe weren’t expecting,” he shared. “I think you’re going to be really surprised, intrigued, and titillated by the group of women that we have chosen in Salt Lake City for the next Real Housewives.”

Bravo’s vice president of programming, Noah Samton, echoed Cohen and added that he believes fans are going to be fascinated by the new series. He also revealed that the new location checked a lot of boxes, including cast members with good family dynamics and interesting stories.

We do not know what is in store in RHOSL, but it definitely sounds like fans are in for a treat.

Fans can watch Lala Kent in action when new episodes of Vanderpump Rules air Tuesday nights on Bravo.
