FX released their spinoff ‘American Horror Stories’ and ‘American Horror Story’ season 10

American Horror Story is a fall favorite of many horror fans. Some productions of this FX series were impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Now, however, there is plenty of content debuting on the television network and subsequently on streaming platforms.

That includes the spinoff series American Horror Stories, which feature “contained” adventures told within one episode. There’s also the 10th season of the anthology series, titled American Horror Story: Double Feature. These shows are considered TV-MA and, as a result, they will be available for streaming in the UK with the Disney+ extension titled Star on Disney+.

‘American Horror Story: Double Feature’ and ‘American Horror Stories’ joins the Disney+ Star UK platform

The entire first season of American Horror Stories is available for binge-watching in the United States. For fans in the UK, though, this series will be available for streaming starting on Sept. 8, thanks to an extension of Disney’s streaming service, Star on Disney+.

This announcement came in August 2021, along with information regarding the 10th season of American Horror Story. The Disney+ UK Twitter account wrote, “Clear your schedule, American Horror Stories starts streaming September 8, American Horror Story: Double Feature starts streaming in October on Star on Disney+.”

According to Radio Times, other productions listed Star on Disney+ in the UK include Desperate Housewives and Atlanta, Deadpool 2, Borat, Die Hard, and Planet of the Apes. In the United States, this horror series debuts weekly on the television network FX and the next day with “FX on Hulu.”

Technically, Hulu is already under the Disney umbrella, housing adult-skewing content created by Walt Disney Studios. That includes the ABC series, Modern Family, as well as the original series Love, Victor. There’s also the “Disney+ Bundle,” which, for a discounted rate, subscribers will have access to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

Is ‘American Horror Story’ on Disney+ in the United States?

Similar to seasons like AHS: 1984 and American Horror Stoy: Cult, episodes of American Horror Story: Double Feature premiere weekly on the television network, FX. After that, they head straight to the streaming platform Hulu.

Episodes of this FX original and its spinoff are not available on Disney+ and neither are episodes of already released seasons. This could be because, in the United States, Disney+ holds content targeted at a younger audience.

Already released seasons of American Horror Story are available for streaming on Hulu and the rival streaming service, Netflix. American Horror Story: Double Feature is available exclusively on FX and FX on Hulu.
