Seinfeld is a series that is burned into pop culture. The series, which followed comedian Jerry Seinfeld, and his odd group of friends through life in Manhattan, ran for nine seasons and amassed a huge following. It also happens to be a series that seems to have infinite replay value. Fans will get a chance to relive every moment on Netflix soon, but do you know how long it would take you to binge the show in its entirety?

The number of people who have never seen ‘Seinfeld’ is surprisingly large

Seinfeld was arguable the most successful sitcom of the 1990s. It was one of several shows that made NBC’s “Must-see TV” a must-see. Frankly, it feels like everyone knows Cosmo Kramer, Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, and Elaine Benes. It feels like everyone in the world has seen the series, but apparently, that’s not the case.

When you think about it, Seinfeld is a pretty old sitcom. Its finale aired more than two decades ago. There are plenty of adults who weren’t even born when the series was on the air. Seinfeld, famed for being a  ‘show about nothing” is going to get more accessible very soon, though. 

How long will it take to binge ‘Seinfeld’ on Netflix?

Seinfeld seemed to run forever. Premiering on NBC in 1989, the show ended its illustrious run in 1998 after nine seasons. By the time the series ended, Seinfeld was the highest-paid TV actor at that time. Still, when you compare it to other long-running shows, Seinfeld didn’t last all that long. NBC produced 172 episodes during its nine-season run. Jerry was the only character who appeared in every episode.

Since each episode is just 30 minutes long, you can binge the entirety of the show in just three days, 18 hours, and 30 minutes. According to Binge Clock, If you were to cut out the opening and closing credits, as well as all of the commercials that aired during its original run, it would only take two days, 18 hours, and 22 minutes to get through every episode.

When will ‘Seinfeld’ be available on Netflix?

While it will take you several days to binge the entirety of Seinfeld, you won’t be able to do it just yet. The famed sitcom is currently not available on any streaming platform. Hulu carried the sitcom from June 2015 until June 2021. According to Newsweek, the streaming platform dropped the series from its catalog at midnight on June 23, 2021. The end of Hulu’s contract meant fans had to spend an entire summer without the antics of Jerry and his pals. That’s all about to change.
