‘Doctor Strange 2’ Actor Xochitl Gomez Fangirled Over Meeting This MCU Archer
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, or Doctor Strange 2, Xochitl Gomez plays America Chavez, aka Miss America, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Comics featured America Chavez as a member of the Young Avengers. And fans also loved seeing America Chavez and Kate Bishop together in comics. However, they got a taste of seeing their dynamic in real life when Xochitl Gomez had a huge fangirl moment when she met Hawkeye star, Hailee Steinfeld.

Several MCU stars appeared for the Disney+ Marvel Hawkeye series premiere. Avengers star Jeremy Renner came out along with Kate Bishop actor Hailee Steinfeld and Doctor Strange 2 actor Xochitl Gomez.
Executive VP of Production at Marvel Studios Victoria Alonso and Steinfeld posed for pictures. Then, Alonso introduced Steinfeld to Gomez. The America Chavez actor stepped forward with a tentative “Hi.”
While Gomez seemed nervous to meet the Arcane actor, Steinfeld opened her arms to hug Gomez. They also expressed how nice it was to meet each other.
Alonso, Steinfeld, and Gomez then all posed in front of the Hawkeye backdrop. Gomez stayed composed, but she could not help fangirling over meeting the MCU archer the second she stepped away.

When the camera turned to Doctor Strange 2 actor Gomez, she could hardly contain herself. If Marvel Comics fans wanted to see America Chavez and Kate Bishop in real life, the Hawkeye premiere then gave them a glance at it.
“I just met Hailee,” Gomez said. “I mean … yeah.” Gomez could barely string together a complete sentence. All she could manage was a squeal and a thumbs up.
Disney+ Marvel shows have set up several Young Avengers members. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness establishing yet another in Miss America, America Chavez and Kate Bishop fans suspect more banter between the actors in the future.

WandaVision gave Scarlet Witch and Vision kids Tommy and Billy. In Marvel Comics, these kids turn into Young Avengers Wiccan and Speed.
The Falcon and Winter Soldier introduce Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) and his grandson, Eli Bradley (Elijah Richardson). Eli takes on the name Patriot in the Young Avengers comics.
Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie Lang, also stands to join the new group of Young Avengers after the Blip between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame aged her up five years. Cassie Lang grows up to take up the Ant-Man suit as Stature in the comics.
Then Hawkeye introduced Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Doctor Strange 2 gives fans Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.
When the Young Avengers inevitably meets, fans can only hope to see more hilarious banter between Gomez and Steinfeld.
