Beyoncé is Queen Bey, but she’s also the mother of three children. As a result, this artist shared how she spends the holidays at home, including Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Here’s what we know about how Beyoncé spends her Thanksgiving and what she brings to her family dinner.

Beyoncé’s mother would cook for her on Thanksgiving day

She’s an international superstar, but even Beyoncé finds time to spend the holidays with her family. That includes Thanksgiving Day, during which this performer finds time to make one dessert for her family’s dinner.

“For Thanksgiving, my mother usually cooks,” Beyoncé said during a 2008 interview with Express. “It’s just like anyone else’s Thanksgiving.”

“It’s actually my favorite holiday because it’s not about anything but giving back, giving thanks for all our blessings,” she continued. “Hopefully I’ll try to make some type of pie. I’m not the best cook, but I think I’m ready to try something.”

Beyoncé is now a mother with her own family

This artist now has a family of her own. After marrying rapper Jay-Z, the artist had three children. Her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, even appears in a number of music videos, singing for tracks like “Brown Skin Girl” off of The Lion King: The Gift.

Whether or not Beyoncé cooks for the holidays over 10 years since the Express interview is still a mystery to fans, although most doubt she has the time.

During an interview with British Vogue, however, the artist revealed that she, Blue Ivy, and her twins, (named Rumi and Sir,) decorate Christmas cookies and ornaments together. In her annual “Beycap” for 2018, fans even saw Beyoncé and her husband in New York City to check out the Christmas decorations.

Beyoncé often shares holiday wishes with her fans

Aside from her Christmas hit with Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé’s been giving back in honor of Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. In 2013, Beyoncé stopped by a Walmart outside of Boston, gifting shoppers $50 in honor of the holiday season. This was just a few days after the release of her self-titled album.

In 2017, Beyoncé won the holiday by wishing her fans a “Happy Thiccsgiving,” even releasing her own merch for the season. On Instagram, the artist sported a shirt that read, “Have a thicc holiday,” one of the products from her holiday collection.

According to Capital Xtra, that same year, “the Lemonade singer donated a vast number of ‘Blessing Boxes’ filled with food for families in Houston.” A few other celebrities spread the holiday cheer, donating food, money, and time to local charities.

Music by Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, including “Brown Skin Girl,” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and most major streaming platforms. Beyoncé’s recently released visual album, Black is King, is available exclusively on Disney’s streaming platform.
