Ever since we fell in love with Rachel on Friends, Jennifer Aniston has enjoyed the life of an A-list celebrity. There’s a reason this lovely actress is often called America’s sweetheart, but don’t take that to mean she’s a pushover.

There’s one issue that’s been on Aniston’s mind for quite some time, and she’s not shy to talk about it. That issue is kids. Does she have any? Is she pregnant? When is she starting a family?

Aniston’s heard it all, and she’s done talking about it. But we know you still want to know the answers to those questions, so we’ve gathered the information you’re looking for- plus why the issue bugs her so much.

Does Jennifer Aniston have kids?

Aniston does not have any children. She’s been married three times, but none of these relationships produced children, and all ended in divorce. However, we don’t know that Aniston has ever tried for children, and the reports that she’s heartbroken over her status are false. In a 2018 interview for InStyle, the actress broke it down for us.

“The misconceptions are: ‘Jen can’t keep a man,'” Aniston said, “and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me. They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally. There is a pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they’re deemed damaged goods. Maybe my purpose on this planet isn’t to procreate. Maybe I have other things I’m supposed to do?”

Aniston is fed up with all the pregnancy rumors

Throughout her career, Aniston has been hounded by constant tabloid headlines. Every time she starts a new relationship, people ask when she’s having kids. Every time she’s a little bloated, someone prints a headline that she’s pregnant. Every time a relationship ends, it’s because she wasn’t able to have kids, or because there were disagreements about having kids.

When it comes to Aniston, people seem to forget about her amazing career, and focus solely on her childhood status. It’s a problem that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Aniston.

She’s so sick of the situation that she wrote a blog post for the Huffington Post just to clear the air. “For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up,” Aniston started. She continues by comparing journalism to a sick sport of body shaming, then she launches into her main point- that women are too often reduced to just a uterus.

In her life, she’s been constantly hounded by rumors of pregnancy, and debates over when she’ll have children. Aniston says she’s worked too hard to be reduced to merely a non-mother, and wants people instead to focus on her accomplishments.

Aniston turned 50 this year, and she’s not dating anyone at the moment. Instead, she’s busy promoting her movie with Adam Sandler, Murder Mystery, which was released on Netflix last month. The comedy broke records after its premiere with over 30 million views and is still on top of Netflix charts.

She’s also working on a new show for Apple TV+ with Reese Witherspoon, called The Morning Show, that set to premiere this fall. And a biographical drama, titled The Fixer, based on the life of Denise White, a sports manager for the NFL.

With all these new projects, Aniston has a full life. And she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want anyone feeling sorry for her not having children.
