In her cookbook, Dolly’s Dixie Fixin’s: Love, Laughter, and Lots of Good Food, Parton shared her cooking philosophy. “It’s the food from those Mom and Pop joints that welcome you in as if you’re family,” she said. “We really just want food that is lovingly made and joyfully served up. Around here, that’s what we call Dixie Fixin’s.”
Though Parton has shared over 100 recipes with her fans, her favorite indulgent breakfast sounds sinfully satisfying.

Though Parton is a mega-star who has been in the spotlight for most of her life, she still loves being at home and cooking for her family when she’s not working or traveling.
“I still like to try new foods as often as I can,” Parton said of her cookbook. “But when it comes to cooking for myself and my husband Carl and my great big extended family, which numbers into the multiple hundreds these days, what we really want to eat is what comforts us most: good, hearty food rooted in Mama’s cooking and those country gatherings of my childhood.”

Parton has always been open and honest about the three things she can’t say “no” to. “My weaknesses have always been men, sex, and food and not necessarily in that order,” the singer said during an episode of Table Manners.
Also, when Parton is visiting the U.K. she always indulges in her absolute favorite dessert. “The thing I love the most about the U.K., I order it always in room service, is the cream,” Parton says. “The scones, the jellies, and jams. Lord, I can just die over all the scones, the heavy cream. I usually gain, and I try to stay in my show clothes cause I don’t have time to change them, so it’s really hard when I come there not to really put on the pounds just eating all that great butter, and the cream and milk.”

Parton’s favorite indulgent breakfast is biscuits and gravy, though the “9 to 5” singer reveals, she’s not able to eat such rich food every single day.
“This morning I made breakfast for my husband and me,” she told RuPaul during an interview for Marie Claire. “I made some sausage patties, and I baked some biscuits, and I made some milk gravy. He likes that once in a while. Now, I can’t eat like that all the time, but I enjoy eating it when I do.”
