There is hardly ever a moment when Parton isn’t show-ready. The country music sensation has joked about looking good at every moment — even when she goes to bed — in case there were ever a medical emergency.
“I have to be ambulance-ready at all times, if I get sick or something,” Parton once revealed.
Surprisingly, the singer’s beauty routine is fairly quick. According to Into the Gloss, Parton only spends about 15 minutes doing her makeup.
“First thing I do in the morning, after I have my breakfast and do my spiritual work, is put on my makeup and fix my hair, and I can do my makeup in 15 minutes,” Parton said.

Though Parton’s makeup always looks done to the nines, people can’t help but notice her bleach blonde hair in all its height and glory. But what some might not know is that Parton doesn’t actually do her hair at all — rather, she always wears a wig. People have grown so used to Parton’s blonde locks that few even know what her real hair looks like.
Parton has never been shy about the wigs, though, and even loves making jokes about never having to do her hair.
“I’m not offended by all of the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb and I also know that I’m not blonde,” Parton once told Vogue, though she didn’t indicate her natural hair color. “People always ask me how long it takes to do my hair. I don’t know, I’m never there,” Parton joked. She also revealed that she owns “at least 365” wigs.

Surprisingly, Parton’s makeup inspiration comes from what she called the “town tramp” who lived near her when she was younger.
“I was kind of influenced by this town tramp,” she said. “She used to walk down the street, and she had all this yellow, bleached hair, red lips, and real tight clothes. When I was little, I used to just love her.”
Parton doesn’t think she’s fashionable, though she’s all about being comfortable. Even when it comes to award shows, Parton once told The Hollywood Reporter that she often doesn’t want to wear certain shoes and needs to have her hair and makeup a certain way because “I have to be comfortable. That’s why I could never be fashionable.”
