Now, Dove Cameron is launching her music career, with her new ā€œWasteā€ music video and song ā€˜Bloodshotā€™

Some believe that the reason Dove Cameron deleted all her Instagram pictures is to pull focus to her latest endeavor ā€” her music career. Since Descendants 3 premiered on Disney Channel, Dove Cameron posted covers periodically on her YouTube channel. The first cover she posted was a cover of Kacey Musgraveā€™s song ā€œSlow Burn,ā€ currently holding over 400,000 plays on YouTube. Now, the artist is branching out, launching two songs entitled ā€œBloodshotā€ and ā€œWaste.ā€

ā€œā€˜Wasteā€™ has always felt extremely special to me,ā€ she said during an interview with Rolling Stone.Ā ā€œIt was always the one that grabbed me the most. Itā€™s probably the weirdest one; the production is definitely strange. I love that itā€™s a love song without being a really melty, drippy.ā€

ā€œā€™Bloodshot,ā€™ on the other hand, is less specific,ā€ Cameron said during an interview with Billboard. ā€œI am very known by my label to say ā€˜I hate a breakup song,ā€™ which I donā€™t anticipate changing anytime soon. To me, theyā€™re boring and they make me itchy. What I love about ā€œBloodshotā€ is that itā€™s not necessarily about a breakup, but it is definitely about a loss of some kind. For me, itā€™s about loss, which I am always trying to put to lyrics.ā€

Dove Cameronā€™s music, include ā€œWasteā€ is available for viewing on YouTube. Other songs that feature Dove Cameron, including the Descendants soundtrack, are available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
