RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 has featured some of the biggest breakout stars in the Emmy-winning series’ history. Symone, the unapologetic Arkansas beauty, has served some of the most memorable looks and iconic moments on the Drag Race stage. And with four wins under her belt throughout the season, she’s the favorite to take home the crown.

Symone made her mark on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 13

From the first moment she stepped on to the Drag Race main stage, Symone showed that she was a force to be reckoned with. RuPaul commended her on her “star quality” early in the competition and watched as she blossomed into an even more fully realized version of herself.

In the first week, Symone defeated veteran drag queen Tamisha Iman in a lip sync battle to Janet Jackson’s “The Pleasure Principle”; the following week, she won the dance and singing challenge and beat newbie New York queen Olivia Lux in a lip sync to Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart.”

Symone won three more challenges throughout the season for her instantly-iconic performance in the “RuPaulmark Channel” challenge, her makeover job on her fellow small-town queen Utica, and her branding in the soda commercial challenge.

Symone’s looks have been some of the most iconic in ‘Drag Race’ herstory

Aside from her performances in the challenge, Symone is remembered especially for the looks that she’s served on the runway every week.

Many of her looks celebrate Black culture in ways that have never been expressed on the Drag Race stage before. This has included wearing a durag that stretched several feet behind her, a beautifully beaded outfit complete with a beaded and braided wig that spelled out her name, and her final look on the runway that included a cornrow wig encrusted with jewels.

She has also taken time on the runway to draw attention to issues facing the Black community today. Her fascinator look, for example, was a simple white dress that featured two rhinestoned bullet wounds on her back and the bedazzled statement “Say Their Names” on her headpiece. The look took judge Ts Madison’s breath away and RuPaul took a moment to commend Symone for bringing such a strong message to the runway.

Symone’s height

Symone is a stunning beauty and can seemingly wear anything and make it look like a high fashion piece of clothing. But despite how statuesque she appears on stage, her height out of drag may be surprising to some.

According to VirgiWiki, Symone stands at 5 feet, 7 inches tall when not in heels. This is the same height as her final four sister Gottmik and one inch taller than Rosé. RuPaul, by comparison, towers over Symone both in and out of drag, at 6 feet, 4 inches.
