In trailers for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan (who first appeared in Dragon Ball Z) in his Ultimate form and villain Dr. Hedo were teased to appear.
“An all-new movie since Dragon Ball Super: Broly is currently in the making!” Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama announced during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 event (via ComingSoon.net). “Just like the previous movie, I’m heavily leading the story and dialogue production for another amazing film.”

The director and producers revealed the North American Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero release date window with other details.
“I really shouldn’t talk too much about the plot yet,” Toriyama said. “But be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character.”
Some fans suspect that in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Broly and Cheelai might have a kid together in the new movie. In a poster for the anime movie, Cheelai cradles a mysterious bundle, piquing fan imaginations.
“We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of the visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride,” Toriyama continued. “So I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!”

American Dragon Ball fans have to wait until Summer 2022 for the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero release date window. Japanese fans can see it much sooner, though.
In Japan, fans can catch the anime movie in the Spring on April 22, 2022.
The Dragon Ball franchise continues to power up the heroes and villains to ridiculous levels. Super Saiyan used to stand as the most powerful form. However, Gohan went Super Saiyan 2 during the Dragon Ball Z Cell arc. It completely changed the game, and the show has only pushed it more.
