Draya Michele might have gotten her start on the VH1 reality series, Basketball Wives and its spinoff, Basketball Wives LA, but these days, the model/actress is defining herself in other ways. With a swimsuit line, some apparel lines, and some roles in movies and on non-reality TV shows under her belt, the stunning starlet isn’t looking back.

“Basketball Wives has this stereotype of these angry Black women and I feel like more than just Black people watch it,” Michele said in an interview with Justin Sylvester’s Just the Sip. “People who aren’t familiar with Black culture take that and they think that is what they are. I feel really, really bad that I was a part of that and contributed to that. Black women, we’re queens. We’re so much more than arguing with each other over stupid stuff. I never want people think I’m this aggressive Black woman because I’m not.”

These days, Michele is focusing on her businesses and her self-care which includes a must-have product from Kylie Skin.

Draya Michele is a self-made businesswoman

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Michele is worth $600,000. As a self-made businesswoman, Michele has been in the public eye for almost a decade, propelling herself from a reality starlet into a full-fledged actress and launching her swimwear line, Mint Swim.

Michele used just $12,000 to launch the brand which is a swimwear line designed with all shapes and sizes in mind. “It’s difficult to start any type of clothing line, because your head is filled with a bunch of ideas,” Michele explained to The Undefeated. “You want to make something that you love, but then there’s a fear that everyone else isn’t going to love it.”

Inside Draya Michele’s fitness regime

At age 35, Draya is still known for her youthful skin and perfect figure. She often showcases her own swim line, Mint Swim and she even recently made headlines for twerking on Diddy’s Instagram Live. Though staying in shape is very important to the Basketball Wives LA alum, her fitness regime is a lot simpler than you would expect.

“I used to be an occasional gym rat whenever I felt out of shape,” she explained to The Undefeated. “But once I got pregnant, I needed to make it part of my regular routine. I wanted a hobby that was constructive, so I started going to the gym. I love all cardio-type workouts. Cardio helps me burn off fat and reach my goals.”

Remaining as active as you can, even amid quarantine and social distancing is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Kylie Skin is an integral part of Draya Michele’s skincare regime

During quarantine, Michele has found time to focus on herself. She recently shared her extensive skincare routine with Harper’s Bazaar and it includes a must-have Kylie Skin product.

Michele calls her skin, dry and sensitive, therefore her go-to products including, Sunday Riley’s Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil and Boscia’s Rosewater Mist with Witch Hazel are all hydrating. Aside from her body moisturizer which is The Body Crème Tube from La Mer which runs at $195, all of Michele’s skincare products are super affordable.

However, there is one affordable staple that really stands out. In order to snag super buttery soft lips, the starlet swears by the $22 Kylie Skin Hydrating Lip Mask.
