Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar rose to fame in the early 2000s as their ever-expanding brood caught the attention of TLC producers. In 2004, the family’s first one-hour special, 14 Children and Pregnant Again!, was released on TLC. Four years later, the Duggar family landed their own reality series with the network called 17 Kids and Counting, The name of the series changed with the birth of each new Duggar child, eventually reaching 19 Kids and Counting in 2010. While Jim Bob and Michelle haven’t had any more children in the last decade, they have welcomed 21 grandchildren (and counting!) into the mix.

In order to get a full scope of the ever-growing list of Duggar grandkids, let’s go ahead and break down the grand-babies by who their parents are.

Josh and Anna Duggar have given Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar the most grandchildren so far

Josh, the oldest of the Duggar brood, married his wife, Anna Keller, in 2008. Anna and Josh are the parents of six of Jim Bob and Michelle’s grandkids, including: Mackynzie (2009), Michael (2011), Marcus (2013), Meredith (2015), Mason (2017), and Maryella (2019). According to People, Josh Duggar is currently on trial for child pornography charges. If found guilty on all charges, Duggar could spend up to 20 years in prison. So, while Josh Duggar waits to hear his fate in the upcoming months, Anna is gearing up to give birth to their seventh child in fall 2021. 

John David and Abbie Duggar have one child

John David, the twin of Jana Duggar, married his wife, Abbie Burnett, in 2018. The couple are currently parents to one child, Gracie (2020). John David works as a pilot and helps run a number of the Duggar family businesses, and Abbie had a career as a nurse before getting married and having her first child.

Jill and Derick Dillard have two kids

Jill Duggar married her husband, Derick Dillard, in 2014. They are parents to two sons, Israel (2015) and Sam (2017). Derick and Jill served as missionaries after first getting married. Derick then decided to study law at the University of Arkansas, graduating in May 2021. However, over the last several years, Jill and Derick have also become estranged from her parents, with Derick making numerous public statements against his in-laws. 

Jessa and Ben Seewald have four children

Jessa Duggar was the second Duggar daughter to exchange vows in 2014 when she married her 19-year-old husband, Ben Seewald. Ben and Jessa are the parents of four Duggar grandchildren, including: Spurgeon (2015), Henry (2017), Ivy (2019), and Fern (2021).

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have given Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar two grandchildren

Jinger Duggar married former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo in 2016. After hanging up his soccer cleats and keeper gloves, Jeremy began attending a master’s seminary to become an ordained minister. Jinger and Jeremy are parents to two daughters: Felicity (2018) and Evangeline (2020). 

Joseph and Kendra Duggar have three children

Joseph Duggar married his wife, Kendra Caldwell, in 2017. Kendra is the daughter of the Duggar family’s pastor, Paul Caldwell. Joe currently runs the Duggar family’s used car lot, and Kendra is a stay-at-home mom. Joe and Kendra are parents to three Duggar grandchildren including, Garrett (2018), Addison (2019), and Brooklyn (2021). 

Josiah and Lauren Duggar have one child

Josiah Duggar married his wife, Lauren Swanson, in 2018. Along with Joe, Josiah helps run the Duggar family car lots. Lauren is currently a stay-at-home mom to the couple’s only child, Bella (2018).

Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth have given Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar two grandchildren so far

Joy-Anna Duggar married her husband, Austin Forsyth, in 2017. Joy and Austin work together, flipping and selling houses in Arkansas. They are also parents to two Duggar grandchildren including, Gideon (2018) and Evelyn (2020).

With a final rundown of the 21 current Duggar grandchildren, Fandom reports that there is: Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Israel, Meredith, Spurgeon, Henry, Sam, Mason, Gideon, Garrett, Felicity, Ivy, Addison, Bella, Maryella, Gracie, Evelyn, Evangeline, Brooklyn, and Fern. This makes a grand total of 21 Duggar grandkids with 12 girls and nine boys. The last 10 Duggar grandchildren have all been girls. With Anna Duggar announcing she is expected to have a girl, this streak will be kept going with the birth of the 22nd Duggar grandchild this fall. 

With 19 kids, ranging in ages from 33 to 11, Jim Bob and Michelle should plan on welcoming new grandkids into the family for years to come. In early 2021, two more Duggar sons tied the knot: Justin Duggar married Claire Spivey in February, and Jed Duggar married Katey Nakatsu in April. With these recent weddings, 10 of the Duggar’s 19 children are now married. With nine Duggar children still left to tie the knot, more Duggar grandchildren will certainly be on the way in upcoming years.
