Elvis Presley once hired a hitman to murder Priscilla Presley‘s new lover. Priscilla and Elvis were together for 13 years, and they met when she was only 14 years old. Their relationship was filled with hurdles, to the point where Priscilla decided to leave him at the age of 27.

But before their relationship came to an end, Priscilla had an affair with their karate instructor, Mike Stone. When Elvis found out about the situation, he ordered a hitman to kill Priscilla’s new lover.

The King of Rock and Roll was very strict about Priscilla Presley’s fidelity

In Priscilla’s memoir titled Elvis and Me, she talks about how frequently Elvis would cheat on her with other women. She’d often find notes from his lovers stashed around their house. At the same time, gossip columns kept making reports about The King’s many affairs.

“I gleaned every bit of news about Elvis as I could,” she writes. “I constantly listened to the overseas radio and scanned every article in The Stars and Stripes newspaper. But each story about Elvis I read only upset me all the more. He seemed to be romantically linked with many beautiful young starlets in Hollywood- Tuesday Weld, Juliet Prowse, and Anne Helm, among others.”

Priscilla was crushed about his constant cheating, but even so, she was never allowed to be unfaithful to Elvis. He was very strict about her “belonging to him,” and if she wanted to be his ideal woman, she would have to remain faithful.

“Nights when he was calm and peaceful, he would describe his ideal woman and how perfectly I fit this image,” she writes. “He liked soft-spoken brunettes with blue eyes. He wanted to mold me to his opinions and preferences. Despite his reputation for being a rebel, he held the traditional view of relationships. A woman had her place, and it was the man who took the initiative.”

“Fidelity was very important to him,” she continues, “especially on the woman’s part. He constantly reminded me that his girl had to be completely constant. But even so, I feared that Elvis wasn’t always faithful to me.”

Elvis Presley hired a hitman to kill Priscilla Presley’s lover, Mike Stone

Years into their marriage, Priscilla had an affair with her martial arts instructor, Mike Stone. In her memoir, Priscilla describes her karate lessons as eye-opening because they taught her how to be more free and independent outside of her relationship with The King.

“A transformation had begun,” she writes of her experience. “Along with this new confidence, off came my false eyelashes and heavy makeup, the jewels, and flashy clothes. All devices that I depended upon for security now shed.”

And with her newfound confidence, she decided to have an affair with her instructor. Once Elvis found out about this, he wanted to murder Stone.
He allegedly told his entourage (via Express): “There’s too much pain in me… Stone [must] die.”
