HBO Max’s steamy teen drama Euphoria is back for a second season. The premiere episode of season 2 introduced a new character. Chloe Cherry plays Faye, a drug dealer’s girlfriend with addiction issues of her own. Euphoria has no shortage of nudity and sex scenes, and Cherry herself is an adult film star. The actor discussed the difference between filming porn and working on the HBO series.

Chloe Cherry plays Faye in ‘Euphoria’ Season 2

Cherry joined the cast of Euphoria Season 2 as Faye, a drug dealer’s girlfriend who Rue runs into during a dangerous meeting with a female drug lord. Although Faye herself is on heroin at the time, she has some choice words for Rue and even calls her a “junkie.”

According to her IMDb profile, Cherry began acting in adult films at age 18 and is credited in quite a few titles. The actor ended up in Euphoria when the show’s creator found her on social media. “Sam Levinson [the director and creator of Euphoria] found me on Instagram,” Cherry told Interview Magazine.

“He thought I was funny and wanted me to audition, so of course, I sent in tapes and everything. I was so blown away that he wanted to audition me at all. It was the greatest honor of my life.”

Chloe Cherry discusses the difference between filming ‘Euphoria’ and porn

It’s no secret that Euphoria is a raunchy show. The series includes male and female nudity and graphic sex scenes in pretty much every episode. Cherry has a topless scene in the very first episode of season 2 when she and Rue are forced to prove they aren’t wearing a wire. She discussed the transition from adult films to television with Interview Magazine.

“I was always very professional doing adult films,” Cherry told the outlet. “It wasn’t like I was going on set for the first time. I already knew what I was doing, I knew how to listen to directors, how to take their cues, and how to navigate a set. It didn’t take me that long to figure out all the other, bigger pieces. It came to me very easily.”

The actor also explained the difference between shooting porn and a raunchy TV series like Euphoria. “The biggest difference I guess is the fact that in porn, no one’s really judging your acting,” Cherry said. “In TV, people are. When you’re doing TV, you get the chance to do a bunch of takes until you get the right one. In porn, we can only do so many takes. You still have to have sex.”

What’s next for Chloe Cherry and her ‘Euphoria’ character?

So far, Cherry’s depiction of the drug-addicted Faye has been pretty impressive. Her character will continue to pop up throughout Euphoria Season 2. Cherry also plans to continue acting in the future. “You’ll see me in more acting roles for sure,” she told Interview Magazine. “I just want to see what else I can do. There are no limits on what I’m willing to try.”
