‘Euphoria’ fans think Fez’s note to Lexi said ‘something meaningful’

After watching the finale, fans took to Twitter and Reddit to discuss Fez’s note. “I’m actually really sad because it was likely something so meaningful,” said one Redditor in a discussion thread.

“He likely talked about how proud he was of her, and how grateful he was that they are friends. And how honored he was to be invited to be there for her. I’m devastated she couldn’t read it.”

Other fans joked about the letter, saying it said something similar to the infamous note Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley wrote for Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola in season 2 of Jersey ShoreAnother fan speculated Fez’s note said something more serious: “Will you go with me? YES NO Circle one.”

“Lexi, you always my house on the prairie,” commented another fan, referencing Fezco and Lexi’s conversation about Little House on the Prairie in the finale episode. Another fan added: “I will always stand by you,” referencing the season 2 episode where Lexi and Fez cry watching Stand By Me together.

Another fan had a more elaborate theory about Fez’s letter, writing

“Lexi, I know that we haven’t known each other for a very long time but you’re the most special person I know. I never imagined that little girl I smoked weed with a long time ago would make me feel this way. I want you to know that I want you in my life for a long time, not only as friends but as something more. You’re amazing Lexi, I want you to know that.”

‘Euphoria’ Season 3 might address Fezco’s note

In the season 2 finale, Fezco and Ashtray (Javon Waldon) get raided by the cops. After killing Custer (Tyler Chase), Ash locks himself in the bathroom armed with guns. When the cops arrive, he starts shooting. Fez gets caught in the crossfire, dropping Lexi’s note and falling to the ground.

After Ash is shot and presumed dead, authorities pick Fez up, treading over the note as they carry him out in restraints. The note is now part of a crime scene, but many fans hope it comes up in Euphoria Season 3

Considering the cops will likely take the note in as evidence, it’s possible. “I’m guessing cops will find it and take Lexi in for questioning and then reveal the note to her,” one Euphoria fan said on Reddit. “Seems like a good plot to go with. Maybe cops will use the note as leverage to make Fez an informant? Either way, I’d love for Lexi to find out what it says.”

Meanwhile, other fans think future episodes of Euphoria might ignore what Fezco’s note says altogether. “It’s gonna be like Jim’s note to Pam on The Office,” commented another Reddit user. The NBC comedy show never revealed what the note said, but Jenna Fischer did after the series ended

Fans will have to wait for Euphoria Season 3 to find out what happens with Fez’s note to Lexi. We’re predicting the new season will come out in late 2023 at the very earliest, but most likely sometime in early 2024. Stay tuned to Showbiz Cheat Sheet for updates.
