Former Made in Staten Island stars Karina Seabrook and Paulie Fusco are now part of the new MTV series, Families of the Mafia

Families of the Mafia started filming after Sammy “The Bull” Gravano was released in prison in 2017. When the series was filmed, Karina Seabrook — the daughter of Karen Gravano and granddaughter of Sammy “The Bull” — was dating Paulie Fusco. Fans are curious to know, are they still a couple?

Seabrook is the daughter of Karen Gravano and David Seabrook. Seabrook’s parents were both involved in an ecstasy drug ring with Sammy “The Bull” Gravano that came to an end in the 1990s. Time reported that the drug ring was responsible for the sale of 10,000 ecstasy pills a week and netting $1 million a month. Seabrook’s father, uncle, and grandfather served time for their crimes while Gravano raised her.

Aside from starring on the MTV series Made in Staten Island and Families of the Mafia, Seabrook is pursuing a career in modeling. She hopes to open a medspa one day and specialize in Botox, laser hair removal, and other cosmetic procedures.

Karina Seabrook’s boyfriend, Paulie ‘The Hustler’ Fusco

The former MTV series Made in Staten Island established that Fusco and Seabrook had been in a relationship for some time. The series also made it clear that the two were in a toxic relationship.

Made in Staten Island was only on for three episodes, but in that time, the show displayed several fights between Fusco and Seabrook. “We have an up and down relationship, but we never lose sight of each other,” Fusco told Meaww in January 2019. “It’s just like anybody else’s relationship everybody fights [but] not everybody sees it. We are not shy to show you the real meat of our relationship.”

A self-proclaimed “street kid,” Fusco credits Seabrook with keeping him in line. “I was a kind of a lost cause, but she came into my life and whipped me up into shape,” he told Meaww.

Paulie Fusco and Karina Seabrook call off their relationship

On Families of the Mafia, Fusco and Seabrook are still in a relationship. In the episode “Part IV,” Fusco frustrated Seabrook while she was working an important modeling gig. The chance to walk in the fashion show solidified Seabrook’s decision to remain in New York, but frustrated Fusco who claimed she was only doing it for attention — not to further her career aspirations.

Seabrook revealed that this wasn’t new behavior for Fusco. “I’ve never had a man tell me what I can’t do, and that doesn’t mean I’m going to start now,” she told cameras.

In that same episode, Gravano also addressed the issue of Fusco being disrespectful toward her daughter. “I want her to be able to follow her dreams, and every time an opportunity presents itself, it’s Paulie always creating drama,” Gravano said. “I just feel like she’s so young and has so many opportunities, and I don’t want to see her missing anything because of a boyfriend in her ear stressing her out.”

Are Paulie Fusco and Karina Seabrook still together?

Later in that episode, Fusco and Seabrook discussed the disrespect in their relationship. At the conclusion of the episode, the couple seemingly broke up on-camera. So, are Fusco and Seabrook still together?

The truth is, it’s difficult to say whether or not they’re still dating. Considering what is being shown on Families of the Mafia was filmed months ago, the two could have broken up in the time since the show wrapped. What’s more, Seabrook is protecting her personal life by keeping her Instagram profile private.

“Paulie feels so alone in life and he holds me so close to him that he doesn’t even want to even think about losing me,” Seabrook revealed in a behind-the-scenes conversation about the episode in question. “That’s where I’ve matured, because I’ve learned to look at it from a different point of view. As toxic as me and Paulie might get, his reasoning, those are problems that he needs to deal with himself.”

Gravano also weighed in on the situation, explaining how Fusco’s desire to keep her daughter close could eventually cause their relationship to end. “I find it hard when you’re in a relationship with someone that’s wanting to pull the reigns and draw everything back,” she said. “That’s not who you are and I think eventually that’s going to backfire on him — if it hasn’t already.”

Fans will have to tune in to the final episodes of Families of the Mafia to see where Fusco and Seabrook stand at the end of the series.
