What is Kate Middleton’s personality like?

Kate is known to be a very private person, so not many people are aware of what she is like behind closed doors. However, there are some things friends and sources have shared about Kate.

For example, it has been said that Kate is a reserved, introverted person who does not enjoy public attention. Although she is one of the most famous women in the world, when she is not working, Kate does not tend to go out of her way to find the spotlight.

Kate reportedly also has a relaxed personality and can keep her cool in stressful situations.

Additionally, Kate likes to play it safe, especially when it comes to her clothes. Fans might notice that she doesn’t take many fashion risks and often wears classic, timeless pieces.

Richard Dennen, a friend of Kate and an editor for Tatler magazine, once said to CNN, “She specifically doesn’t want to be a fashion icon… I think she’s probably concerned with looking absurd… The fact that she’s been safe and dare I say, boring, bodes well.”

Fans think Kate Middleton’s ‘blandness’ makes her successful in her royal role

Kate’s tendency to be reserved and safe can make some people see her as boring compared to celebrities who are always making headlines for their outrageous behavior. However, royals do not need to generate headlines, and fans think this part of her personality has actually made her successful in her royal role.

“I do think there’s a lot to be said that Kate has a great way of drawing attention to a cause without drawing attention to herself,” one person said on Reddit. “I’m not exactly pro-monarchy but I have a lot of respect that Kate (and William) are approaching this as a job, a role, a continuation of a centuries old tradition. They have a (much) quieter approach to freshening up the roles, but they have modernized, in a way.”

Meanwhile, someone else also pointed out that Kate’s “blandness” is extremely advantageous for her.

“I think a lot of people have overlooked that her blandness is her greatest strength,” the person said. “Because we don’t know a ton about her personality, people can project whatever they want on her. For someone who has to be non-controversial, that is a major power to have. I’ve always enjoyed the entertaining royals like Harry, but after Sussexit I’ve very much come to appreciate the reliable and stable ones.”

It has been said that Kate and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have very different personalities. Meghan is more bubbly and outgoing. Since she worked in Hollywood for a long time, Meghan also seems adept at networking and using PR to climb ranks in the entertainment industry.

While Meghan’s personality has helped her thrive in Hollywood, she has received criticism for trying to “hustle” as a royal.

“There’s a massive difference between being a celebrity hustling your way from the bottom to the top – and she was a very proud hustler,” said Lady Colin Campbell, according to Express. “[Meghan] used to use the word hustle for herself and her first husband very proudly – and being a lady or being a royal. You don’t hustle, the values, the embodiment is completely different.”
