Host Andy Cohen tweeted, “As a precautionary measure, starting Friday, March 13, ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ will suspend production. With the exception of an already recorded episode airing on 3/19, there will be no new episodes for the time being. The situation is being monitored and we will notify our audience when we resume our live production.”

Series like Grey’s Anatomy, Riverdale and shows on Broadway have also gone dark. WWHL is also taking a pause to help to reduce the transmission of the virus. Other shows like The View are hosting talk shows without an audience.

Fans want ‘Housewives’ programming

Many fans were understanding but saddened to learn that their favorite talk show won’t be live in the foreseeable future. One person from Cohen’s hometown of St. Louis, MO joked, “Come home, Andy — it’s safe here, and we have toilet paper!” Others went into “panic” mode. “What are we supposed to watch in quarantine ANDY?!?!” another person questioned.

Several people suggested more Real Housewives programming be added to the schedule. “Release the new housewives seasons, we need new content!” one person suggested. Comedian and Bravo superfan Michael Rapaport shared that he was watching The Real Housewives of New York City, season 1. “Pandemic Programming #RHONY Ep 1 Szn 1,” he tweeted.

Another person suggested that Bravo release the new season of RHONY. “@Andy @BravoTV Pls consider releasing RHONY S12 premiere early. Whole season would be amaze; first episode would be great; the first 15 minutes – we’ll take it. Really think it could help us all! <3.” Cohen is mulling it over … maybe. “It’s on the table, but complicated,” Cohen responded.

Cohen promised to be on the radio

Fans were already going into Bravo withdrawal. “We need you to get us through this! Please do lots of live instagramming!” one person wrote. Cohen reassured the fan that he’d be back on his radio show on Monday morning. “You got it! And I’ll be live on @RadioAndySXM Monday!” he replied.

At this point, fans will take whatever they can. “Thank God!!! Daddy Cohen to the rescue!!!” one pleased fan replied. “Yes, please don’t abandon the radio show,” another person responded.

Reunions are also in question too

Beyond WWHL, Cohen commented that a few upcoming reunion shows are in limbo too. One fan wondered, “Is the Atlanta reunion cancelled or just postponed? I gotta know!” Cohen responded, “Postponed! Omg we all need something to look forward to. And you will get it!”

Another person wondered about the Vanderpump Rules reunion too. “So does that mean that the season 8 #PumpRules reunion taping is going to be postponed too because of the coronavirus thing going on? Or what’s going on?” Cohen still wasn’t sure. “Taking everything day by day.”

What about just doing the reunion the way Cohen did the Teresa and Joe Giudice’s Skype sit down? “Soooo yall can’t do the reunion via Skype or something??” a fan wondered. But Cohen had a point. “We considered it for a second but figured it would stink!”
