Ant Anstead recently filed for emergency custody of his son with Christina Haack

In April, Ant Anstead filed for emergency custody of his 2-year-old son with Christina Haack. The former couple got married in December 2018, and Haack gave birth to their son Hudson on Sept. 6, 2019. Haack was previously married to her Flip or Flop co-star, Tarek El Moussa, and shares custody of their two children, Brayden and Taylor. Anstead also has two children from a previous marriage.

Anstead and Haack separated in 2020 and officially divorced in June 2021. In court documents obtained by TMZ, the English TV presenter stated that his ex-wife created a dangerous environment and put their son at medical risk.

He claimed the HGTV star is mostly absent from Hudson’s life and that she spent about “9 full days each month” with him for the past 20 months. He asked to change their shared custody agreement to Haack getting alternating weekends with their son.

Anstead also wanted an order preventing Haack from posting their son on social media for any “commercial endeavor” without his permission.

Ant Anstead posted two videos of his and Christina Haack’s son Hudson

On May 16, less than a month after Ant Anstead filed for emergency custody of his son with Christina Haack, the English TV presenter shared two videos of Hudson on Instagram

The first of three slides was a photo of Anstead’s repaired soccer shoes. The second slide was a video of Hudson kicking a soccer ball down a field and into a goal. The third slide showed Anstead and Hudson kicking the ball back and forth while the 2-year-old said, “Put your phone down!”

Anstead played soccer semi-professionally for over 15 years, so teaching his son how to play the sport is likely a significant moment for him.

Fans are slamming the English TV presenter for posting videos of Hudson after ordering his ex-wife not to do the same thing

While many fans complimented Hudson’s soccer skills, others slammed Ant Anstead for posting his son on social media after trying to legally restrict his ex-wife from doing the same thing. They debated in the comments section of the English TV presenter’s Instagram post.

“I hear Hudson, saying, put your phone down!! You’re always posting, more then [sic] Christina ever has…” one fan wrote, to which another fan replied, “The issue is not the number of posts but the purpose behind posting. There is a difference in posting the moments of a child’s life and using posts of your child to make a buck.”

Another fan commented, “I thought you didn’t want Hudson exploited on social media.” Anstead responded, “Absolutely I don’t. Being a kid and capturing organic moments in the footsteps of a toddler I’m all in favour of! ☺️” He added, “It’s a lovely diary to keep and look back on. But Being a puppet ‘used’ for commercial gain and being made to perform makes my stomach sick. The two are of course very different x x”
