On July 29, Rachel Lindsay appeared on the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast. During the episode, she was asked about her friendship with Becca Kufrin and her opinion of Kufrin’s fiancé, Garrett Yrigoyen. Lindsay told Pellegrino that she thinks Yrigoyen is a “piece of sh*t,” leading fans of The Bachelorette to speculate that Kufrin and Yrigoyen are broken up.

Rachel Lindsay’s previous comments about Garrett Yrigoyen

This is not the first time Lindsay has been adamant about her dislike of Yrigoyen. On June 16, Kufrin and Lindsay released an episode of their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Lindsay assured Kufrin that she supported her as a friend amid their diversity conversations, but the same did not go for Yrigoyen.

In the episode, Lindsay said:

“What I really wanted this to be is an example of two friends who maybe have different perspectives, maybe have different backgrounds, upbringings, maybe didn’t see things in the same way. But the fact is, is that when you have someone who’s willing to learn, then as a friend who’s willing to learn, how as a friend can I not be willing to help out and be there for you? Now Garrett, that’s a different situation. I don’t f**k with Garrett. I don’t need to. But you and I have a different relationship and so I appreciate everything that you just said.”

Rachel Lindsay took her criticism a step further

When asked about Yrigoyen on Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, Lindsay caught listeners up on why she does not like him.

“We had a podcast about diversity and what was going on in the country and her fiancé posted a Blue Lives Matter picture. And with his whole chest gave his long explanation as to why he felt that way,” Lindsay said.

She continued, “So I got on the podcast saying it was problematic, what he meant to me, we both got emotional. I was just like, ‘I’m tired that everyone woke up in 2020 and realized that racism f**king exists. It’s been happening.’ And it was great for us and our friendship.”

While her diversity discussions might have strengthened her friendship with Kufrin, Lindsay has not changed her mind about Yrigoyen.

“I think he’s a piece of sh*t… He has doubled down on his beliefs. This isn’t the first time he’s had problematic behavior. When he was on the season, he had a history of ‘liking’ things that were racist, sexist, homophobic, calling the Parkland students child actors, it was a lot, so this is who this man is. And he’s a piece of sh*t to me,” she said.

Fans think Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen broke up

For weeks, fans have been speculating that Kufrin and Yrigoyen ended their relationship. Based on Lindsay’s comments, fans took her not holding back as a sign that Kufrin and Yrigoyen are no longer together.

“I love Rachel for this! (Any many other things). I think this is pretty much a good indicator of the Garrett and Becca breakup: Rachel is the type of person who would openly not associate with racist people or people with racist SOs. So the fact that Rachel said she is good friends with Becca still, makes he believe that Garrett is out of their world,” a Reddit user commented.

“I think they broke up too – I think Rachel would have refrained from calling him a piece of sh*t if they were still engaged. Not that them being engaged would mean she has an obligation to not say that. Just based on her past commentary she seems more willing to not hold back,” another Reddit user agreed.
